A notable development is the NMC (National Medical Commission) exam being passed by 132 immigrant Hindu doctors from Pakistan, allowing them to practise medicine in India. These doctors now have more opportunities to improve the healthcare system in their chosen nation because to their success. The doctors have praised the Indian government’s efforts to ensure that doctors who studied medicine in Pakistan can practise in India, and a special event has been planned to show appreciation for the government. Attending the event, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed his support and gratitude to the medical professionals.
A Path of Devotion and Resistance
These doctors’ experiences are evidence of their tenacity, tenacity, and unrelenting dedication to their vocation. Dr. Dashrath Kumar, 47, moved to India from Pakistan in 2006 and was granted citizenship in that country in 2016. He worked in a shoe store and did several odd jobs before starting his medical career to support himself. Dr. Kumar spent eight months studying for the NMC exam, which took place in January of this year, motivated by his love of medicine. His efforts were successful, and he now eagerly anticipates launching his own clinic after receiving his registration from the Gujarat Medical Council.
In a similar vein, Dr. Om Prakash Rathi, 49, entered India in 2007 and became a citizen in 2016. At the Dow Medical College of Karachi University in Pakistan, he earned his MBBS degree. Dr. Rathi worked as an assistant in a private hospital after moving to India, earning Rs 6,000 per month. He spent roughly eight hours per day studying in order to be prepared for the test.
After coming to India in 2009 and receiving his MBBS from Sindh University, Dr. Rajkumar Jesrani, a 60-year-old physician, was given Indian citizenship in 2016. Since 2009, he had been working to become registered in the state, and after passing the NMC exam, he showed optimism about opening his own practise in India.
Pride and Acknowledgement
The doctors received congratulations from Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who also emphasised the value of their services to the state’s healthcare system. He emphasised that the presence of migrant Pakistani Hindu doctors providing their important services is a source of pride for the state. 32 of the 132 doctors that passed the NMC exam are located in Gujarat, significantly bolstering the state’s healthcare system and granting the local populace access to medical care.
A notable accomplishment for both the Indian healthcare system and the 132 Pakistani Hindu doctors who passed the NMC exam is this group’s success. Their perseverance, commitment, and pursuit of greatness serve as an example to aspiring medical professionals and a reminder of the transformational power of education and willpower.
