Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), Chittoor, is a significant project initiated by the Apollo Hospitals Education and Research Foundation (AHERF), a renowned entity in the education and research sectors since 1994. Established in September 2015 within the Apollo Knowledge & Health City in Chittoor, AIMSR spans a sprawling 108-acre campus equipped with state-of-the-art teaching facilities.

A key feature of the institute is its affiliation with the Chittoor Government District Hospital, an 850-bed facility now managed by AIMSR. This hospital has undergone significant upgrades under Apollo’s administration, boasting cutting-edge infrastructure including intensive care units, emergency departments, and laboratories that meet international standards, offering students a valuable hands-on learning environment. The hospital provides comprehensive coverage across 21 medical and surgical specialties, ensuring a broad range of practical experiences for medical students.
