Counseling

In accordance with their rank and preferences, candidates will be contacted for counselling. Candidates must present their original documents for verification throughout the counselling process. The seat distribution, document verification, and fee payment are all parts of the counselling procedure.

Enrolling In College

Candidates must report to their assigned college within the stipulated time limit following the counselling procedure. To reserve a seat, they must turn in the needed paperwork and pay the fees.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has granted permission to the Government Medical College in Telangana’s Rajanna Sircilla district to admit students for the academic year 2023–2024. The new medical college will accept 100 MBBS students and operate under the auspices of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal. As part of the college’s expansion plans, the district hospital in Sircilla will also be enlarged to a 300-bed facility.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has finally given the Government Medical College in Telangana’s Rajanna Sircilla district permission to admit students for the 2023–2024 academic year. With 100 MBBS students, the new medical institution will be affiliated with the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences in Warangal. For state residents applying to medical colleges, this is excellent news.

The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the NMC has reportedly given the Sircilla Medical College permission to start taking new students, according to a recent media article by Times of India. This year, the college will accept its first group of MBBS students. The Telangana government has been planning to hasten the development of the remaining six medical colleges throughout the state as three medical colleges already have 100 MBBS seats sanctioned by the NMC.

As part of the college’s growth plans, the district hospital in Sircilla will be upgraded to a 300-bed facility in compliance with state government directives. The approval of the Government Medical College Rajanna Sircilla was announced by Harish Rao Thanneeru, minister for finance, health, and family welfare, who said: “Extremely delighted to share that Rajanna Sircilla district has got the approval for the Government Medical College with 100 MBBS seats.”

Completion of The Other Medical Colleges

The state government’s goal of constructing six new medical colleges is on track, according to health minister Harish Rao. Rao had already ordered officials to expedite construction on nine forthcoming medical colleges in the State, of which three have already received approval to open this year.

CM’s Vision

According to Harish Rao Thanneeru, the chief minister’s dream of having one district medical college take part in “Arogya Telangana” will come true after there are 24 government medical colleges. The Telangana government is constructing nine medical institutions in time for the academic year 2023–2024. The NMC approval process for two medical institutions in Karimnagar and Nirmal is almost complete.

The NMC’s clearance of the Government Medical College in the Rajanna Sircilla area is excellent news for students in the state who are vying for spots in medical schools. Today, 27.4.2023, the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) opened registration for its doctor of medicine (DM) and master of surgery (MCh) programmes. The registration period is open through 26.7.2023 at 11:59 p.m. Candidates who are interested should register online throughout the allotted time. The college administration may also simultaneously secure college permission. All candidates should consult the “I Need Help Section” available online on the same website before continuing with the form fill-out/verification. For the benefit of applicants, the institution will offer SMS and Helpline services for the registration procedure.

In order to offer undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral programmes in modern system of medicine, homoeopathic system of medicine, ayurvedic system of medicine, unani system of medicine, nursing education, pharmacy education, dental education, physiotherapy education, speech therapy education, and other paramedical courses in the state of West Bengal, the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) was founded in Kolkata in 2003. The university just released the UG AYUSH course registration portal, and it will be accessible until 12/05/2023 (11:59 pm).

The significance of the DM and MCh courses

The postgraduate degrees awarded in the medical area are doctor of medicine (DM) and magister chirurgiae (MCh). Following the completion of the MBBS degree, students can follow the three-year DM programme or the two-year MCh programme. The programmes give students specialised training and in-depth expertise in a particular branch of medicine. Cardiology, gastrointestinal, endocrinology, neurology, etc. are among the many fields where DM courses are offered, whereas urology, neurosurgery, and cardiothoracic surgery are among the many subjects where MCh courses are offered.

Process of Registration

The WBUHS has begun the registration process for DM and MCh courses. Candidates who are interested in these courses must register online during the designated time period. The steps involved in the registration process are as follows:

• Include all necessary information, like name, birthdate, email address, etc.
• Upload the required paperwork, including your MBBS degree and transcripts.

Candidates must provide the required documentation to the college authorities at the same time as completing their application form in order to receive approval from the college.

Facilities for SMS and Helpline

The National Medical Commission (NMC), which compelled foreign medical graduates from Ukraine to complete a two-year internship, provoked protests from them on Monday in Bhopal. The students brought up the fact that medical students in India only have to complete a one-year internship. This problem emerged because some Indian medical students who were enrolled at foreign medical institutes in China and Ukraine were placed in unsafe circumstances as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. The Union Health Minister intervened to save these students, and he was looking into ways to allow them to finish their medical schooling in India.

Various organizations demanded that medical students from the Ukraine who had returned as refugees be given temporary housing at Indian institutions. Given the ongoing turmoil between Ukraine and Russia, a public interest litigation (PIL) was also launched in the Supreme Court asking that the Central Government incorporate these students into the Indian medical system. The medical students from Ukraine who had returned had also protested in a number of places.

The Supreme Court took notice of the circumstance and ordered the NMC to develop a policy within two months granting temporary registration to MBBS graduates who completed their medical education abroad but were unable to complete the practical training requirement in their parent institutes outside of India. The NMC decided to alter its policy for medical graduates who received their MBBS degree from a foreign medical school without participating in physical clinical training last year. 

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) was open to Indian students in their last year of MBBS, but the NMC also required foreign medical graduates who passed the exam to complete a two-year CRMI programme. The length of the internship will be doubled in order to make up for the lack of training in clinical and practical skills. As a result, FMGs can only register to practice in India once they have successfully completed the two-year CRMI programme.

The Free Press Journal said that Ukrainian medical students who have returned to Bhopal are dissatisfied with the difference in internship length between them and Indian medical students. On Monday, the students demonstrated in front of the NMC office in Bhopal, and the protest’s organizer, Dr. Udit Soni, criticized the NMC for treating them unfairly. “NMC is completely discriminating. We are also Indians, but unlike the others, we must finish a two-year internship, he said to FPJ. A petition opposing the requirement of an internship for foreign medical graduates is also pending before the bench of the Apex Court.

One of the most esteemed engineering admission tests in India is the VIT Engineering admission Examination (VITEEE). The VITEEE is administered by VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) and is taken by tens of thousands of students nationwide each year. VITEEE overview

Every year, VIT administers the VITEEE, a computer-based test, to applicants seeking admission to its B Tech programmes. The exam is given in 121 Indian cities as well as four foreign countries, including Dubai and Kuwait. 125 multiple-choice questions from the subjects of physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology, and english make up the exam. VITEEE Results 2023

On Wednesday, April 26, VIT released the VITEEE 2023 results. 

The exam’s top scorer was Kushagra Bashisth of Jharkhand, and subsequently placed in second and third were Prakshal Shrinivas Choudhary and Mahin Pramod Dhoke, from Maharashtra.

Rank-Wise Counselling Schedule

Based on the candidates’ rankings, the counselling will be conducted in four rounds between April 26 and June 14.

• Phase 1 for ranks 1-20,000 is from April 26 to 30.
• Phase 2 for ranks 20,001-45,000 is from May 9 to 11.
• Phase 3 for ranks 45,001-70,000 is from May 20 to 22.
• Phase 4 for rank 70,001-1,00,000 is from May 31 to June 2.

Only candidates with rankings over a lakh are eligible for counselling for the B Tech programmes offered by VIT-AP and VIT-Bhopal, and phase 5 counselling for those with these ranks is planned to take place from June 12 to June 14. To secure allocation, candidates are asked to provide the most options possible during the online counselling.

Waivers of Tuition for Top Rank Holders

Candidates whose VITEEE scores fall between 1 and 10 will receive a full tuition waiver for all four years, while those whose scores fall between 11 and 50 will receive a 75% tuition fee relief. Candidates in ranks 51 through 100 will receive a 50% tuition fee waiver, while those in ranks 101 through 500 will receive a 25% tuition fee waiver.

STARS  Programme for Rural Students

Under the STARS (Support The Advancement of Rural Students) programme, the district toppers (one boy and one girl) who attended government schools in rural areas in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh will receive a 100% fee waiver as well as exemption from hostel and mess fees.

Admission to Other Undergraduate Programmes

Applications are currently being accepted for further three-year undergraduate degrees, a four-year BSc (agricultural), a B Arch., and a five-year integrated curriculum. For further information, students can go to VIT’s website at www.vit.ac.in.

Candidates within the top 50,000 rankings in the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) are eligible to participate in the counselling process for admission to VIT’s B Tech programmes. From April 26 through June 14, there will be four periods of counselling, and lessons are expected to start the second week of August 2023. Candidates with VITEEE scores of 1 through 10 will receive a full four-year tuition free; candidates with lower scores will receive a prorated tuition fee waiver.Additionally, under the STARS programme, district top students who attended public schools in rural areas would receive a 100% fee waiver as well as a waiver of the mess and dormitory expenses.
