• The examination Hall/Room will not have blank paper sheets for rough work. Only rough work should be done in the space provided in the test booklet for this purpose. Failure to do so may result in your answers not being evaluated. 
•  At the end of the test, a correctly completed Admit Card must be handed over to the invigilator. Failure to do so may result in your answers not being evaluated. 
• No candidate should use dishonest means or engage in unfair examination practices because the examination centers are monitored by CCTV and equipped with jammers. 
• After finishing the exam, participants must give over the OMR sheet (both original and office copy) and Admit Card to the invigilator and take only the test booklet with them. It is also the candidate’s obligation to ensure that the OMR sheet he/she submits bears his/her signature as well as the invigilator’s signature in the predetermined spaces.

This is because BOPEE has kept four State quota BDS seats in IGGDC vacant, despite the fact that affordable government BDS seats remain unfilled.

BOPEE is the regulatory body in charge of MBBS/BDS admission counselling. Following the announcement of the results of the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Examination 2022 on September 7, 2022, BOPEE held merit-based counselling for admission to various Government and private Dental Colleges last October. IGGDC Jammu has a total of 54 State Quota BDS seats and nine Central Quota seats. Four State Quota seats and one Central Quota seat were empty at IGGDC Jammu during the allotment procedure of BDS students to government and private dental colleges across the state.

No Candidate for Vacant Seats, According to BOPEE

According to BOPEE, there were no candidates for these vacated seats, even on the waiting list. However, students claim that BOPEE assigned students to private dental colleges with annual fees in the lakhs as opposed to the more affordable government dental college seats, but that the vacant seats at IGGDC were not filled. Under the condition of anonymity, a BDS student admitted to a private dental college in Jammu stated that the government dental seats at IGGDC remained vacant despite the college authorities informing BOPEE about the vacant seats.

Mop-up rounds have been completed, but seats remain vacant.

The Union Government performed two mop-up rounds to ensure that there are no unfilled seats at government dentistry colleges in Jammu and Kashmir. However, BOPEE did not fill the seats in IGGDC that became vacant due to the non-joining of some candidates by conducting a second mop-up round of counselling.

Dr. Rakesh Krishan Gupta, Principal of IGGDC Jammu, said the daily that BOPEE had directed colleges to notify them of unfilled seats by December 15, 2022. He said that the college administration had told him about the open seats before the deadline. When the Central Government extended the deadline for filling vacant seats until January 15, the college also contacted BOPEE to fill the seats. However, nothing was done about it.

According to BOPEE officials, the second mop-up round for replacing vacant BDS seats was not held because there were no candidates on the waiting list. According to the authorities, “the second mop-up round was only possible if the Centre lowered the percentile for admission, which did not happen.”

Students Dissatisfied with BOPEE

Students wishing to enroll in the BDS program at IGGDC are dissatisfied with BOPEE for failing to fill the available seats. They claim that BOPEE is denying students access to affordable government BDS seats while sending them to private dentistry schools with substantially higher annual costs. Students who cannot afford the hefty tuition charged by private universities are suffering as a result. The students have urged BOPEE to take action to replace the vacant BDS seats at IGGDC Jammu so that they can apply for government BDS seats that are more inexpensive.

How does the King’s International Student Award work?

The King’s International Student Grant is a financial assistance grant given by King’s University College to attract, promote, and support Indian students who want to study in Canada. The prize is worth up to $32,000 in Canadian dollars and is open to Indian students interested in pursuing undergraduate courses at King’s University College.

Scholarship Value

The scholarship is worth a maximum of $6,500 (Canadian dollars) per year for a maximum of four years for students accepted to the Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies (BMOS). For students accepted into all other degree programs, the value increases to a maximum of $8,000 (Canadian dollars) every year for a maximum of four years.

Who qualifies for the award?

The King’s International Student Award is available to Indian students who have applied for admission to a King’s University College undergraduate program and meet the following criteria:

• You must be an Indian national or hold an Indian passport to apply.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• King’s University College entry standards must be met.
• must be able to demonstrate financial need.

How to Apply for the Scholarship

Interested students can apply for the King’s International Student Award by filling out the online application form available on King’s University College’s official website, kings.uwo.ca. The award application date is April 1st.

Additional Scholarship Options

In addition to the King’s International Student Award, Indian students may be eligible for the King’s International Entrance Scholarship and the King’s International Continuing Scholarship during their program years.

International King’s College Entrance Scholarship

International students entering the first year of undergraduate study at King’s University College are eligible for the King’s International Entrance Scholarship. The award ranges from $2,500 to $5,000, depending on the student’s final high school grade average.

The King’s Continuing Scholarship is open to full-time overseas students who want to continue their studies at King’s University College beyond their first year.

1. JEE Main: 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers JEE Main, one of the most popular engineering entrance tests in India. It serves as a gateway to some of India’s most famous engineering institutes. JEE Main 2023 will be administered twice, between January and April. 

2. JEE advanced

JEE Advanced is a national-level engineering entrance exam that is administered by one of the seven zonal coordinating Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) under the supervision of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). The exam serves as the entry point for undergraduate studies (B.Tech) provided by India’s 23 IITs. JEE Advanced is regarded as one of the most difficult engineering entrance tests in the world, with only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main rank holders able to take it. The JEE Advanced exam format is designed to examine a candidate’s understanding and application of topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It is given annually in May or June.

3. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT)

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2023 is an engineering entrance exam administered by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. The exam’s goal is to provide admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BE) at its three campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. 4. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE)

The Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is a single entrance exam administered by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) for admission to its B.Tech. programs at campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Amravati. The exam is administered online and covers subjects such as physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology, and English. The exam is normally held in April each year, and candidates can apply for it online. VITEEE is well-known for its stringent test standards and high level of difficulty, and it draws a huge number of engineering hopefuls each year.

5. Manipal entrance test (MET)

The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is a national-level entrance exam administered by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, architecture, pharmacy, computer application, and other fields. The exam is given online and is made up of multiple-choice questions. The MET exam scores are used to determine admission to MAHE and its affiliated universities. Every year, the exam is normally held in April and May.

6. SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE)

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Test (SRMJEEE) is an entrance test for undergraduate engineering programmes administered by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (previously known as SRM University). The exam is administered online and is available in numerous sessions. The exam is held in April and May each year, and candidates can select their favorite exam session. The SRMJEEE exam score is used for admission to the various campuses of the SRM Institute of Science and Technology across India.

7. Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental College of Karnataka (COMEDK)

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dentistry Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is an entrance exam for undergraduate engineering, medical, and dentistry degrees at several private colleges and universities in the Indian state of Karnataka. The test is held annually by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK), a private group of Karnataka colleges and universities.

8. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET)

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is an annual state-level entrance exam administered by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture studies in various Maharashtra colleges. 9. Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam (KIITEE)

KIITEE is an acronym that stands for Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam. It is an entrance test held by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar for admission to several undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering, law, management, and other disciplines. The exam is administered online and lasts three hours. KIITEE is usually held in the months of April and May. Candidates who pass the exam are admitted to various courses offered by KIIT. 10. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE)

WBJEE is a state-level admission exam administered by the West Bengal Joint Admission Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The exam is held for admission to various undergraduate engineering, architecture, and pharmacy degrees offered by various institutions and universities in West Bengal. The exam is normally held in the month of April each year and is taken offline. Candidates who pass the exam are eligible for admission to a variety of undergraduate programs at participating institutions based on their ranks and scores.

11. Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET)

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) administers the GUJCET, or Gujarat Common Entrance Test, for admission to undergraduate engineering and pharmacy programs in Gujarat colleges. The exam is administered offline and includes multiple-choice questions from the fields of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. GUJCET scores are taken into account by a variety of government, grant-in-aid, and self-financed institutes in Gujarat.

12.Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level entrance exam for admission to postgraduate engineering, technology, and architecture programs. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) jointly administer the exam. 13. National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national-level entrance exam administered by the Council of Architecture (COA) for admission to undergraduate architecture programs at colleges and universities throughout India. The exam assesses applicants’ architectural aptitude by testing their drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, and critical thinking ability. 14. Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET)

15. Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET)

The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) is an entrance examination held in colleges and universities throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh, India, for admission to various undergraduate degrees in engineering, agriculture, and medicine. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada, administers the test on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
