Established in 2018. , The College was started by the Government of Odisha in collaboration with the Government of India with an aim to improve the doctor population ratio by utilizing the District Head Quarter Hospital as the teaching hospital. The College campus spreads over an sprawling area of 27 Acres at the base of the Gandhamardhana Hills. The teaching hospital spreads over an area of 12 Acres and is situated in the main town of Balangir roughly 5 Kms away from the College campus At the College Site, the Academic Block, Administrative Block, Lecture Theatres, Auditorium, Faculty and Staff Quarters, Boy’s Hostel, Girl’s Hostel, Intern’s Hostel, Residents Hostel, Cafeteria, Playground, Gymnasium, Garden Park, Herbal Medicine Garden, etc. have been established. A New Teaching Hospital of 650 Bedded Capacity is under Construction beside this Medical College Campus. The college is affiliated with the Odisha University of Health Sciences and is recognized by the National Medical Commission.
