The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) is set to release the revised seat allotment results for the first round of Bihar NEET UG counselling on September 27, 2024. Candidates who have participated in this round can access their updated results by logging into their accounts at the official website, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.

Why Was the Round 1 Allotment Cancelled?

The board had initially declared the results for the first round of NEET UG seat allotments. However, a Supreme Court order led to the cancellation of these results. Following the court’s directives, BCECEB published revised rank cards, which are being used for the updated allotment process.

Checking Revised Seat Allotment Results

Here’s a step-by-step guide to check the revised seat allotment results once they are declared:

  1. Visit the official website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.
  2. Navigate to the “UGMAC 2024” tab.
  3. Login to your account by entering the necessary details.
  4. Check your revised allotment result.
  5. Download the allotment order for future reference.

Post-Allotment Procedures

Candidates must take further steps based on their satisfaction with the revised seat allotments:

  • If Satisfied with the Allotment: Those content with their allotted seats should click on the ‘No’ option when asked if they want an upgrade. After that, they must download the allotment order and visit the specified reporting or nodal centre for document verification and admission. The window for the document their revised allotment orders from September 20 to 30 2024.
  • If Seeking an Upgrade: Candidates who wish to upgrade their seats in the second round should click on the ‘Yes’ option. After completing the selection, they still need to download the allotment order, verify their documents, and complete admissions at the reporting centre.

Dates and Deadlines

  • Candidates can download their revised allotment orders from September 27 to September 30, 2024.
  • The window for document verification and admission is from September 28 to September 30, 2024.

What About Candidates Who Already Took Admission?

For candidates who have already taken admission based on the previous round’s allotment, or those who had opted for a seat upgrade, the process is slightly different. They must collect their documents from their previously allotted colleges. Once this is done, they need to visit the reporting centre mentioned in their revised allotment orders for re-verification and final admission.

This revised schedule gives all candidates the opportunity to secure the best possible seat in the state medical colleges for their undergraduate studies under the NEET UG program.

BCECEB Important Updates Related to UGMAC-2024 Round – 1

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has announced significant updates regarding the UGMAC-2024 process following a recent Supreme Court ruling.  On July 15, 2024, the Hon’ble Supreme Court ordered the reclassification of the Tanti (Tatva) caste from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category to the Economically Backward Class (EBC) category. This decision impacts the merit lists and counselling processes for UGMAC-2024, as communicated in the Bihar Government’s letter and BCECEB advertisement.

Changes to Merit List

In light of the Supreme Court’s order and subsequent adjustments, candidates belonging to the Tanti (Tatva) caste were permitted to update their application status. This led to 30 candidates changing their category from SC to EBC during the period from September 17 to September 18, 2024. Consequently, the merit list published on August 21, 2024, has been revised. Candidates can download their revised rank cards from the BCECEB website by entering their UGMAC ID and date of birth.

Counselling Changes

Due to these changes, the previously scheduled Round-1 Counselling has been cancel, and all allocations made during this round have also been revoked. The revised counselling process will be conducted as follows:

1. Editing Choices: Candidates who previously participated in Round-1 Counselling will have the opportunity to edit their choices from September 24, 2024 (12:00 PM) to September 25, 2024 (12:00 PM).

2. Publication of Revised Results: The Revised Round-1 Seat Allotment Result will be published on September 27, 2024.

3. Seat Allotment Procedure:
– Candidates can view their results and download the Revised Provisional Seat Allotment Order.
– If satisfied with the allotted seat, they must indicate “NO” for Round-2 Counselling.
– If unsatisfied, they can choose “YES” for upgradation.

4. Document Verification: Candidates must complete their document verification and admission process at the designated Reporting Centre as mentioned in the allotment order.

5. Free Exit Candidates: Candidates who opted for Free Exit in the previous round must complete their verification and admission process for the newly allotted seat; otherwise, their allotment will be cancel.
