Requirements for Sponsored DNB (Post Diploma) Seats
Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for Sponsored DNB (Post Diploma) seats:
- Candidates should routinely be employed by the West Bengal government’s Department of Health and Family Welfare.
- According to the Trainee Reserve Rules 2015 and its revisions, candidates must have successfully completed the final examination leading to the award of a Post Graduate Diploma from Indian universities recognised under the terms of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Govt. of India, on or before March 31, 2021.
- Candidates need to have taken the DNB-PDCLT 2023 test.
Details of Application Submission
Candidates who meet the requirements for Sponsored DNB seats must submit their applications in accordance with the guidelines given:
- Email applications should be sent to [email protected] from candidates who belong to the WBHS (West Bengal Health Service) or WBPHAS (West Bengal Public Health-cum-Administrative Service) cadre.
- Applications from WBMES (West Bengal Medical Education Service) cadre candidates should be sent to [email protected] via email.
- The official websites of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal: www.wbhealth.gov.in and www.wbmcc.nic.in, both have the circular that has all the necessary information and formats for the submission of applications.
- The deadline to submit applications is July 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
Candidate physical verification
On particular days and in particular places, candidates will be physically verified. The following rules must be followed by candidates:
- The physical verification will take place over four days, from July 17 to July 20, 2023.
- Candidates must bring the original paperwork and a proforma that has been filled out and properly forwarded.
- Candidates for the WBMES cadre will be subjected to physical inspection at the Counselling Cell, located on the ground floor of the Swasthya Sathi Building on the grounds of Swasthya Bhawan.
- On the third floor of the B wing at Swasthya Bhawan, physical verification for WBVIS (West Bengal Visually Impaired Service) and WBPHAS cadre candidates will take place.
Documents Needed for Verification
For the purpose of the physical verification, candidates must make sure they have the following original documents in addition to one set of self-attested photocopies:
- Rank and admit cards for the 2023 MEET PG or 2023 DNB PDCET.
- Any two legal photo identifications, such as a passport, voter card, or Aadhar card.
- Age verification (birth certificate, class X certificate, or admission card).
- MBBS diploma and final MBBS grade report.
- The Medical Council of India or a state medical council issues a permanent registration certificate.
- Caste certificate, if applicable and issued in West Bengal by the proper authority.
- OBC candidates must present a non-creamy layer certificate obtained on or after April 1, 2023.
- If necessary, a PWD (Persons with Disabilities) certificate given by the IPGMER Kolkata Medical Board.
- Proof of an earlier diploma, obtained on or before March 31, 2021.
- Proof of any bond requirements that must be fulfilled by March 31, 2023, or earlier, if applicable.
- Putting up orders and joining reports to demonstrate consistent service.
Process for Provisional NOC and Counselling
Candidates who submit their applications and are found to be physically eligible for the Sponsored DNB seats will be given provisional consideration. The actions listed below will be taken:
- The qualified candidates will receive a provisional NOC (No Objection Certificate) on verified letterhead.
- On or after July 29, 2023, scanned copies of the Provisional NOC will be posted to the official websites for public access.
- In accordance with their instructions, the Provisional NOC will also be sent by email to the National Board of Examinations Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
- Candidates should be aware that the Provisional NOC only acts as the first stage in the counselling process and does not guarantee a seat.
