Government Medical College (GMC), Jalaun is strategically located to address regional imbalances in healthcare services, research, and training. The first batch of 100 MBBS enrolled in 2013 while outpatient and inpatient services started in April, 2009. GMC Jalaun now runs various Post Graduate courses also in specialties like social and preventive medicine, Pathology, Anatomy, General surgery and ophthalmology and proposal for starting post graduate courses in other clinical branches such as anesthesia, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology has also been sent to the administration. BSc Nursing course has also been started in year 2023 with intake capacity of

60 students per year. Starting of 7 new paramedical courses such as diploma in x ray technician, physiotherapy, orthopedic and plaster technician, optometry technician, lab technician, operation theatre technician and anesthesia and critical care technician has also been started.
