A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked in New Delhi by Jamia Hamdard and Dalhousie University in Canada to promote academic and research collaboration between the two universities. At Jamia Hamdard in New Delhi, India, on March 6, 2023, the agreement was officially signed. The purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding is to create a cooperative research and degree programme for the nursing students at Jamia Hamdard’s School of Nursing and Allied Health.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Matt Hebb, Vice President (Government and Global Affairs), Dalhousie University, Canada, and Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi.
Jamia Hamdard Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Afshar Alam spoke to the crowd during the signing ceremony and said, “All of Jamia Hamdard’s academic programmes are created to help students become global citizens. Both the schools are determined to continue this relationship further and engage in student training and innovative research aimed at addressing societal problems”.
“The joining of these two institutes of international repute would further boost the quality of research, education, and opportunities for students and help them become global citizens,” Mr. Matt Hebb, Vice President (Govt. and Global Affairs), Dalhousie University, Canada, said in agreement.
Dr. Prachi Kaul, Director of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute, commended both institutions on reaching this milestone and urged them to work together productively and actively.
