The college is recognized by the ministry of health and family welfare, new Delhi the medical council of India, govt of Kerala and is affiliated to the Kerala university of health sciences. The annual intake of the college is 100. The college conducts the following post graduate Degree courses in General medicine, pediatrics, General surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, pulmonary medicine, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Anesthesiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology & community medicine. PG diploma courses are also offered in child health, TB & Chest, Psychiatry medicine, Medical radio diagnosis orthopedics, ophthalmology, Anesthesiology and clinical pathology.

The college building comprises four stories with a total floor area of 1,50,000 sq.ft. It has got full fledged pre and para -clinical depts. With fully equipped laboratories, air conditioned lectures teachers and auditorium, well set exclusive central library with all latest technological devices to access electronic journal and online medical and health magazines.
