Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College Chamba was established in the year 2016 by up-gradation of Regional Hospital, District Chamba with admissions of 100 students in the first batch. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College was earlier affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University but now it is affiliated to Atal Medical & Research University, Mandi and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC) with an annual intake of 120 seats in MBBS. It is a lush green valley with natural beauty in abundance and situated at the bank of river Ravi. This place is also known as Shiv Bhumi and having a chain of temples.
