Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU): MBBS admission 2023

The NEET 2023 counselling for admission to IPU MBBS 2023 at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) in New Delhi is conducted by the university. The application form for IPU MBBS admission 2023 is available on the official website ipu.ac.in.

 

IPU MBBS/BDS admission is only open to candidates who have qualified for the NEET exam. There are a total of 555 MBBS and 50 BDS seats available through IPU NEET admission. GGSIPU is responsible for managing the admission process for 85% of the state quota seats in IPU MBBS admission 2023. The remaining 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in IPU MBBS/BDS will be granted through NEET 2023 counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible for IPU NEET admission, candidates must have passed their class 12th examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology with at least 50% marks. SC/ST candidates need to score a minimum of 40% marks in these subjects.
  • Candidates who have passed their 10+2 from schools located in Delhi can apply for admission under the 85% quota seats.
  • The remaining 15% seats will be available under the All India Quota, and any candidate who has qualified for the NEET exam can apply for them.

 

Registration Form

To apply for IPU MBBS Admission 2023, candidates must complete the registration process by filling out the application form, which is only available online.

  • The registration form for IPU MBBS Admission 2023 is typically released in February 2023.
  • The candidates must provide their personal and qualification details including NEET roll number to fill the registration form.
  • It is important to ensure that all information provided is accurate and truthful to avoid rejection of the application.
  • Only applications submitted before the last specified date will be considered for further processing.
  • The application fee of Rs. 1000/- must also be paid online.

Release of Merit List

  • Once the candidates have cleared NEET 2023 and registered for IPU Admission MBBS 2023, a list will be created for them.
  • The list will be arranged according to the rankings and will be posted on the official website ipu.ac.in.
  • The list will contain the candidate’s name, NEET roll number, NEET rank, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, percentile, region, and category.
  • To find their names and other information in the list, candidates can use scroll down or ctrl + F.
  • If there are any errors in the details, the candidates must notify GGSIPU by submitting a physical application and a copy of the fee Challan.
  • The fee for this process will be Rs. 500/- and the Challan must be submitted to an Indian Bank branch at GGSIP University.

 

Counseling Process

  • The counseling process for IPU NEET admission will be conducted based on the merit list.
  • During the counseling process, the candidate’s eligibility and documents will be verified.
  • Seats will be allotted based on the NEET rank.
  • Candidates need to report for counseling as per the specified schedule with all necessary documents.
  • Failing to attend counseling or provide required documents can lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • Additional rounds of counseling will be conducted depending on the availability of seats after the first round.

 

IPU MBBS Admission 2023 Procedure

  • After the counseling and seat allocation, candidates must report to the allotted institute.
  • Candidates must bring their documents with them for the admission process.
  • The candidates will have to complete the admission formalities and pay the tuition or other applicable fees.
  • If a candidate fails to report for admission within the given timeframe, their seat will be forfeited.
