21 lakh candidates have registered for the NEET UG exam in 2023.
Students devote months to their preparation for the NEET UG Exam because it is one of the most difficult medical admission exams in India. Students have three hours to finish the exam, which consists of multiple-choice questions from the three subject areas of physics, chemistry, and biology.
On May 7, 2023, the National Eligibility and Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET) for Undergraduate Studies is scheduled to take place. According to officials, about 21 lakh students have enrolled for the exam. There are almost 12 lakh female candidates out of this total. On neet.nta.nic.in, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is anticipated to publish the exam city slips and admission cards for the NEET UG Exam shortly.
According to the officials, 20.8 lakh applicants submitted applications for the NEET UG 2023 Exam, with 11.8 lakh female applicants and 9 lakh male applicants submitting applications for the undergraduate medical entrance exam. 2.57 lakh more students have registered this year compared to previous year, and overall, the number of NEET UG 2022 applications has increased by 11.5 percent.
Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have the most registrations, with 2.77 lakh and 2.73 lakh, respectively, according to state-level data. In addition to these states, there have been over one lakh registrations in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh.
The test city slip and admission card for the NEET test would be available soon, according to NTA authorities. Candidates will be able to download it once it is released from the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.
For admission to undergraduate medical programmes, including MBBS/BDS, in several medical and dental institutes across India, NEET UG is a national level medical entrance exam. Thousands of students from all around India take the exam, which is held annually. Some medical colleges abroad also accept the NEET UG result.
