Top 10 All India Rank (AIR) Holders: NEET 2023
On Tuesday, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) announced the results of the NEET-PG exam that took place on March 5, 2023.  Here is the list of 10 All India Rank (AIR) holders:
AIR 1-Dr Aarushi Narwani, hailing from Jaipur, has scored 725/800 the highest mark in the exam.

AIR 2-Dr Prem Tilak is from South India; his mother is from Kerala, and his father is from Tamil Nadu. He scored 721/800 in the PG entrance examination.
AIR 3-Dr Rupesh scores 721/800.
AIR 4- Dr Aakasth Sethi with 718/800
AIR 5-Dr Ameya with 717/800 in the NEET PG 2023.
AIR 6-Dr Keshav Garg secured 360/800 followed byÂ
AIR 7-Dr Jui scored 716/800 in the PG entrance examination.
AIR 8- It has been reported that Roll No. 23661110342 has secured the 8th All India Rank (AIR) with a score of 715; however, the name of the candidate is not yet known.
AIR 9-Dr Rahul with 711/800 marks andÂ
AIR 10 has been secured by Dr Sagar, who also scored 711 marks in the exam
AIR 1 Dr. Arushi Narwani:Â
Dr. Arushi Narwani, from VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital in Jaipur, secured the first rank in the NEET PG 2023 exam by scoring 725 marks out of 800. This is the second consecutive year that a female candidate has topped the PG medical entrance examination, with Dr. Shagun Batra holding the top position last year by scoring 705 out of 800 marks.
Dr. Arushi, who shared her preparation tips on a YouTube channel soon after the results were announced, stated that her key strategy for studying was to stick to a single source. India.com reported that Dr. Arushi also mentioned how she initially studied online during the COVID-19 pandemic but later transitioned to in-person classes. Additionally, she revealed that while preparing for the exam, she would take one day off every week to relax and hang out with her friends.
According to Hindustan Times, Dr. Arushi comes from a family of medical professionals. Her mother, Dr. Riya Narwani, is a professor of anatomy at Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Medical College, while her father, Dr. Sanjay Narwani, is an ear, nose, and throat surgeon. Although she did not consider a career in medicine as a child, Dr. Arushi ultimately chose to pursue it after falling in love with biology in the 12th grade.
Dr. Arushi discussed her NEET-PG 2023 preparation, stating that she began studying in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown and primarily studied at home. She noted that her preparations became more intense once she started her internship at Safdarjung, where she had to work 12-24 hour shifts. As for her future plans, Dr. Narwani is considering pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, potentially in radiology, although she has not made a final decision yet. “I have yet to make that decision,” she said.
 NEET-PG 2023 Results:
The NEET-PG exam is a national-level medical entrance examination that serves as the gateway for admission into various PG medical courses in India, such as Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), and PG diploma courses. This year, a total of 208,898 candidates took the NEET-PG 2023 exam.
After the NEET PG 2023 exam was conducted, subject matter experts in the relevant specialities reviewed every question to ensure technical accuracy. Based on their evaluation, no questions were found to be technically incorrect or ambiguous.
The NEET PG 2023 results have been released and include the candidates’ scores and ranks, which can be accessed on the NBEMS website at https://natboard.edu.in and https://nbe.edu.in. Candidates who appeared for the exam can download their individual scorecards from the website starting from March 25th, 2023.
Candidates who have successfully passed the NEET PG entrance examination will participate in various counselling rounds for admission to All India Quota seats, state medical and dental colleges, central and deemed universities, and other institutions. To be eligible for NEET counselling 2023, medical graduates must meet the eligibility and domicile requirements as per their preferred college and course.
As per the NEET PG 2023 Bulletin’s minimum qualifying and eligibility criteria for admission to MD/MS/DNB/diploma courses, the cut-off scores for different categories are as follows:
- General/EWS: 50th percentile – 291 out of 800
- General/PwBD: 45th percentile – 274 out of 800
- SC/ST/OBC (including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC): 40th percentile – 257 out of 800.
NBE has declared that the merit positions for the All India 50% quota seats will be announced separately. For the state quota seats, the states/union territories will prepare the final merit list and category-wise merit list based on their respective qualifying/eligibility criteria, guidelines/regulations, and reservation policies.
Candidates who are found to have used unfair means during the NEET-PG 2023 exam will be subjected to penal action as deemed appropriate by NBEMS. If any such candidate is declared qualified in the exam, their results/candidature will be considered cancelled and may be cancelled.
Candidates should note that their candidature is provisional and subject to verification of their Face ID/Biometric and fulfilment of the eligibility criteria mentioned in the NEET-PG 2023 Information Bulletin.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya congratulated the successful candidates of NEET PG 2023 through a tweet, appreciating the efforts of NBEMS for conducting the exam successfully and declaring the results in a record time. He wrote, “Congratulations to all the students who have been declared qualified in NEET-PG 2023 results, which were announced today. I appreciate the efforts of NBEMS for their exceptional work.”
