Vedanta Institute of Medical Sciences is the newest established medical institute in the Palghar district in the state of Maharashtra. The college is popularly known as VIMS and this is the very recent privately established medical institute in the district of Palghar.
VIMS was established in 2017 and affiliated to ‘Maharashtra University of Health Sciences’ i.e. MUHS, Nashik. The college is well approved by the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI). Currently, VIMS offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level. The duration of the course is 5.6 yrs including 1 year of Mandatory Internship. The Institution has an excellent academic atmosphere, excellent culture, and the best infrastructural facilities provided to the students of the college itself.
The campus also houses the 850-bedded Vedantaa Hospital and Research Centre for hands-on training as well as providing quality yet affordable sub-speciality healthcare services, like Urology, Cardiology, Endoscopy, Minimal Access Surgery, Dialysis, Joint Replacement, Arthroscopy, Wound Care Clinic, etc., to patients hailing from the economically weaker background
