Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), Bellary is a Karnataka state government medical college located in the vast area of 173 acres approximately 7 kilometers from Bellary city. There are separate blocks for Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Preventive and Social Medicine. Medical college hospital (MCH), Bellary house all the clinical departments. A separate lecture hall complex called as “B.C Roy Hall’’ of four well-furnished air-conditioned theater type individual lecture halls are available for regular teaching purpose. A separate air-conditioned mini auditorium of 300 seating capacity called “Shikshakara Bhavana” is available for conducting conferences and continuing medical education (CME) and workshops. A separate auditorium “Sababhavana” that can occupy than 1000 members are available for conduction college day, convocation, university examinations and other major functions.
