Procter & Gamble Health has announced the launch of the ‘VitaM.I.N.D.S (Medical Information on Nutritional Deficiencies and Solutions) Conclave’ in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA). The program’s goal is to raise awareness of the relevance of vitamins and VMS (Vitamin and Mineral Supplements) among health care professionals and organizations.
Dr. Sharad Kumar Agarwal, National President of the IMA, started the programme, which was attended by 450+ presidents and secretaries from IMA chapters across the country. The programme aims to establish an independent platform that promotes the importance of vitamins by cooperating with HCOs on publications, certifications, awareness, and education.
“We are committed to raising awareness about nutritional deficiencies and the treatments associated with them,” said Milind Thatte, Managing Director of Procter & Gamble Health Limited. With IMA, we seek to educate the HCP community on the benefits of VMS and create an ecosystem of customers and patients that have a higher quality of life.”
Diabetes and comorbid illnesses, hypertension, pediatric nutrition, infectious diseases, and maternal health will be among the subjects covered in the programme. As part of this collaboration, P&G Health and the IMA will hold summits and conferences at which every participant delegate will obtain an IMA accreditation point in accordance with the IMA policy and requirements for each topic.
“In light of evolving lifestyle practices, it is critical to create long-lasting conversations around the importance of vitamins and their benefits,” stated Dr. Sharad Kumar Agarwal, National President of the IMA. We are thrilled to collaborate with P&G Health on the ‘VitaM.I.N.D.S Conclave’ programme, which seeks to reach over 1500 HCPs across 25 IMA centers across India, leading talks about vitamins and their advantages among a broader audience.”
P&G Health has regularly engaged with patients, customers, and HCPs throughout the years to assist, educate and raise awareness about VMS. P&G Health, as one of India’s most trusted healthcare brands, will continue to support the development of scientific learning and knowledge exchange forums for medical practitioners, such as diagnostic workshops, continuing medical education, case-based discussions, and global discussion forums.
