CCSU Achieves A++ NAAC Ranking, Amongst Top Three State Universities in India!

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has certified Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut with a 3.66 CGPA out of 4 and an A++ rating (NAAC). The NAAC’s peer team visited the campus for three days, evaluated it, and then turned in a report on their observations.

MEERUT: On Friday, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) granted Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut accreditation with a 3.66 CGPA out of 4 and an A++ grade. According to a CCSU representative, the NAAC peer team visited the campus on March 1 for a three-day inspection and then submitted their observation report to the NAAC.

“It’s a happy occasion for us as well as a duty,” Prof. Sangeeta Shukla said during a news conference led by the vice-chancellor. “Considering that we have been intending to work for more research and innovation in many sectors that would help the students.”

Meanwhile, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. YC Vimla told TOI, “Anandiben Patel, the governor of Uttar Pradesh, decided on this grade after holding multiple review meetings in 2021.” Now, our university may be found on the list of the best universities in the nation. It’s interesting because, without this accreditation, we would not be able to launch any defence courses in cooperation with the defence authorities. Following the outcome, the institution’s resources will grow, which will be advantageous to all of the colleges and the university’s linked students.

Prof. Prashant Kumar, CCSU’s spokesperson, mentioned the upcoming changes and stated, “As we have received the grades, the university is now planning to launch distance education, preparing to collaborate with foreign universities, and grants from the central and state governments, along with the research fellowship, will be provided by the university to the research scholars.” Added he, The university applied for the NAAC grade in 2016 and received a B+, and now we have applied in 2022 and received an A++. CCS did so in 2001 and received a B++.

“Only three of the 35 state colleges fall into the A++ category.” Gorakhpur University received the highest NAAC ranking, with a 3.78 CGPA, followed by CCSU with a 3.66 CGPA, and Lucknow University with a 3.55 CGPA.

Boost to Ayurvedic Education: Uttar Pradesh to Establish All India Institute of Ayurveda

An All-India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), which would serve as a centre of excellence for tertiary Ayurvedic healthcare and advanced patient care, will soon be established in Uttar Pradesh.

Ayurveda’s director, Dr. PC Saxena, stated: “The state government has received a proposal for AIIA.” With approval, the procedure will begin with the selection of the land needed to create the AIIA. This will be Uttar Pradesh’s first AIIA.

AIIMS, or the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, is comparable to AIIA. Under the Ayurvedic medical system, an AIIA offers postgraduate/doctoral and postdoctoral instruction, research facilities, and top-notch patient care.

Apart from medical expertise and connections to the current healthcare system, intramural and extramural research is another important component of an AIIA.

“For the AIIA to be established, we need about 15 acres of land. Planning the infrastructure and facilities would start after the state government authorises the project and land is identified,” Dr. Saxena stated.

Varanasi is most likely to be a district where the project is located in eastern Uttar Pradesh. The state government will make a final decision.

Secretary General of the Association of International Physicians, Dr. Abhishek Shukla, stated: “National and international collaboration is a key component of AIIA. Being the premier Ayurvedic institution, AIIA may work with other medical specialities to conduct research and provide patient care.

Currently, there are over 100 Ayurveda colleges in Uttar Pradesh, including 65 commercial institutions and an AYUSH University in Gorakhpur.

Shorter GMAT Exam Coming Soon: Revamped Test to be Nearly One Hour Shorter!

Shorter GMAT Exam Coming Soon:

The Graduate Management Admission Council will abbreviate the GMAT exam by almost an hour, eliminate the essay component, and make all questions multiple choice in response to a sharp fall in standardised test attendance. Since moving from paper to computers in June 1997, the GMAT has undergone numerous changes, but the revised test is the most significant of all of them.

The revamped test, labelled as the GMAT Focus Edition, would only have three 45-minute portions that test takers can complete in any sequence. Moreover, GMAC will let test-takers bookmark and modify up to three answers per section, letting students improve their test-taking techniques. The new test also includes a feature that allows students to choose their programmes after receiving their results, both in-person and online. Each official score report will only include one exam score, providing test takers the freedom to choose whether or not to share earlier results with educational institutions.

The GMAT now has four sections and a duration of three hours, seven minutes, not including optional eight-minute breaks. It will only take two hours and 25 minutes to complete the new test, which has three portions. GMAC is preserving the portions on mathematical reasoning, verbal reasoning, and integrated reasoning but eliminating the 30-minute analytical writing evaluation.

It might be a little bit simpler for test takers if the hardest element of the exam, the quantitative reasoning section, is crammed with time. Currently, it consists of 31 questions and requires 62 minutes to complete. GMAC asserts that the new test will result in shorter test-taker preparation times.

The ‘Easiest Change Since the GMAT Moved From a Paper Test’ is the New GMAT Exam.

Although a date for the new test’s release by GMAC is not yet known, it is most likely before the year’s conclusion. Later this month, we intend to release further information, she said. To receive more information, such as the launch date for the new exam, the organisation is requesting that test takers register. The current exam version will be accessible until the beginning of next year, according to GMAC.

“This is easily the biggest change to the GMAT since it moved from a paper and pencil format to a computer-adaptive format in 1997,” says Stacey Koprince, director of content and curriculum at Manhattan Prep. ‘While there is not yet a lot of information on the GMAT Focus Edition, from what we can see, these are very student-friendly changes. It’s hard to say that an exam that’s one hour shorter will frustrate test takers, particularly when GMAC has also indicated that there will be fewer topics to study. Not including break time, the new GMAT will be more than an hour shorter than the GRE. Test takers will be able to review problems after the fact and change a small number of answers. And there will be no essay. In our opinion, these changes sound great.”

A shorter test, in the opinion of some admissions counsellors, would inspire more potential students to submit applications to business schools. According to David White, a founding partner of Menlo Coaching, which provides tutoring to test takers, “by offering a shorter and more applicant-friendly exam, GMAC may be able to help MBA programmes increase the number of applicants.” People who were on the fence about devoting time to GMAT study may decide to apply after all with this new exam format.

The new examination could stop the GMAT from losing market share to the GRE, an alternative test that more and more applicants are choosing to take. According to Koprince, “The test creators have gone to considerable pains over the past few years to underline that the GMAT is the greatest exam to gauge prospective students’ success in business school, at a time when the GRE was eating into their market share. The GMAT is now even more specifically suited to business schools than it was before. Given that the GRE is required to be an admissions test for a wider range of graduate degree programmes, including business, education, engineering, and veterinary medicine, it might be challenging for the GRE’s creators to make similar improvements.

How to calculate the NEET MDS 2023 result?

Candidates must attempt 240 objective questions in the NEET MDS 2023 test. The NEET MDS result specifies a maximum score of 960 marks. For erroneous responses, there will be a 25% penalty according to the NEET MDS exam format. The following is the scoring system applied to the NEET MDS results.

Marking scheme for NEET MDS result

Particulars Marking scheme
For each correct answer +4 marks will be awarded
For every incorrect response -1 mark will be deducted
Unattempted questions 0 marks

The overall score of the applicants is generated based on the aforementioned grading structure and will be displayed in the NEET MDS 2023 result. The following equation determines the NEET MDS score:

NEET MDS marks = (Number of correct answers) x 4 – (Number of incorrect answers) x 1
NEET MDS 2023 result – percentile vs marks

Each candidate’s percentile is generated based on the marks they received in the NEET MDS results 2023. The percentile score for each candidate will be included in the NEET MDS 2023 results. Only those who have a minimum NEET MDS cutoff percentile score and above will be eligible to take the entrance exam. It should be noticed that NEET MDS 2023’s percentile and percentage are completely different.

  • The candidate’s percentile will be utilised to determine where they rank on the merit scale.
  • The percentile score a candidate receives on the NEET MDS 2023 will show where that applicant stands in relation to the other test takers.
  • A candidate who received a NEET MDS score of 100 per cent will have achieved the greatest possible score on the test, not the entire 960 points.
  • A candidate’s percentile score of 100 also means that 100% of other candidates received the same or lower scores.
Types of NEET MDS 2023 result

The NBE will assign different ranks to the nominated candidates based on the NEET MDS result 2023. The positions of applicants who passed the entrance examination will be listed on the NEET MDS merit list for 2023. Chhattisgarh to Boost Healthcare: 4 New Medical Colleges to Open in the State

Raipur: The state’s chief minister, Bhupesh Baghel, recently declared at this year’s budget session that two new mental hospitals and four new medical colleges will be built throughout the state’s many districts.

The proposed hospitals and colleges will offer patients specialised healthcare facilities as well as a chance for medical aspirants to pursue their careers in medicine. The four medical colleges would be built in the districts of Janjgir Champa, Kabirdham, Geedam, and Manendragarh in North Chhattisgarh as a substantial boost to the state’s medical education. The two mental hospitals would be located in Raipur and Ambikapur, respectively.

Baghal revealed in an interview with TOI that 200 crores of rupees had been set aside for the construction of four medical colleges. A budget of Rs 2 crore has been allocated to build two mental hospitals.

In addition, Baghal said that a 700-bed integrated medical centre would be built in Raipur’s Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital. He declared the project would receive Rs 85 crore in funding.

Additionally, Rs 5 crore has been set aside for the construction of mobile medical units in hard-to-reach places, and Rs 7.50 lakh has been budgeted for the construction of e-medical facilities at existing hospitals in Ambikapur, Korba, and Kanker.

The chief minister claimed that by allocating Rs 5494 crore for health and family welfare, the budget hopes to significantly expand the state’s medical and healthcare infrastructure.

Anand Civil Hospital Set to Open by August 2025, Confirms State to High Court

According to an affidavit from the health department dated February 24 and submitted to the Gujarat High Court, a government district hospital in Anand is anticipated to be open by August 2025. The declaration was made in response to a division bench of the HC expressing surprise that despite Anand’s incorporation as a district in 1997, there was no government district hospital.

Prakash Patni, joint secretary of the health department, stated in his affidavit that the project implementation unit (health) had developed a schedule for the hospital’s development.

The planning and designing for the construction at Anand is anticipated to be finished by the end of this month, following a revised administrative approval for the project. After that, it is anticipated that the procedure for obtaining a bid and subsequently starting work, including issuing a work order, will be finished by October 2023.

The hospital’s construction is anticipated to be finished by March 2025, and it is anticipated to be operating by August 2025, according to the health department. Despite receiving land allotment in 2016, the civil hospital planned for the Anand area has yet to open, according to a public interest lawsuit filed last year.
