Government Medical College, Machilipatnam is a government medical college located in Machilipatnam, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The college was established in 2023 and currently offers the MBBS degree with 150 seats. The college is affiliated to the Dr. Y.S.R. University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and has been approved by the National Medical Commission of India (NMC).
The college is located in the 64.38-acre Campbell Peta area of Machilipatnam. Its affiliated hospital is the Government General Hospital, Machilipatnam, which has 400 beds. The college has a team of experienced and skilled teachers to teach in various departments. The District Hospital, Machilipatnam has been established under the control of A.P. Vaidya Vidhana Parishad in the year 1985 and has been functioning since then providing Medical and Health services to the citizen of the District as well as the surrounding mandals of the neighboring Districts.
The Hospital is expanded and renovated under Andhra Pradesh First Referral Health Systems Project aided by the World Bank and Bed Strength was increased to 330 beds and subsequently the bed strength was raised to 553 beds.
