Government Medical College, Mahasamund is affiliated with Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University, Raipur and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC), India and has an annual intake of 125 seats in MBBS. Government Medical College (GMC), Mahasamund is one of the three new GMC’s established by the ministry of health & family Welfare and medical education, government of Chhattisgarh in the year 2020 with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the state and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. The GMC, Mahasamund is a huge medical establishment sprawling in 90 acres having a large academic medical college building, hospital complex, residential complex, hostels and other essential services.
