Bihar is a state situated in the eastern region of India and has a vast population. Currently, there are 12 government and 8 private medical colleges in Bihar, which offer a combined total of 2565 MBBS seats and 1090 MD, MS, and PG Diploma seats as of 2023. The government has proposed to establish a medical college in every district of India.

For successful candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical colleges, the MCC/DGHS is responsible for conducting counseling for seats under 15% All India Quota and 100%, including 85% State Quota of Central Institutions such as ABVIMS & RML Hospital, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ESIC, Central Universities (including DU, BHU, AMU), AIIMS, JIPMER, and Deemed Universities.

 

Regarding AFMC registration, MCC only handles the registration process and provides AFMC officials with information about enrolled candidates for the admission procedure. Grades may apply to any additional relevant classes offered by universities such as DU/BHU.
