Chitwan Medical College (CMC) was founded in 2006 by the International Society for Medical Education Pvt. Ltd. Initially, it began with an intake of 80 students per year for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. Over time, CMC has broadened its academic scope, adding programs in nursing, pharmacy, public health, and other allied health sciences.

CMC is home to a 750-bed teaching hospital situated in Bharatpur, which offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services, supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. The medical college is affiliated with Tribhuvan University and is recognized by the Nepal Medical Council. Under the management of the International Society for Medical Education Pvt. Eligibility Criteria

1.    Educational Qualifications:

o    Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

o    Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their 10+2 or equivalent.

2.    Entrance Exam:

o    Indian students must have appeared for the NEET UG examination or any equivalent examination accepted by the college.

o    Foreign students must meet the entrance exam requirements or be eligible for direct admission, based on the college’s rules.

3.    Age Limit: Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission.

4.    English Proficiency: For foreign students, proficiency in the English language may be required.

Admission Process

2.    Eligibility Verification: The college will verify the eligibility of the applicant, including educational qualifications and entrance exam results.
