About MCC
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), is entrusted with conducting online counselling for a variety of medical education courses, as per various Supreme Court orders and government notifications. These include counselling for:
• 15% AIQ (All India Quota) Seats for UG Courses (MBBS/BDS)
• 50% AIQ Seats for PG Courses
• 100% Seats for Super-specialty Courses (DM/MCh)
The MCC conducts counselling based on merit, judicial directives, and reservation policies as mandated by the Government of India.
Roles & Responsibilities of MCC
The MCC has several key responsibilities in the counselling process:
Website Maintenance: Maintain the official MCC website for updates, notifications, and information dissemination.
Counselling Procedure & Schedule: Finalise and communicate the counselling procedure and timelines.
Coordination: Coordinate with State/UT agencies for seat allocation in their respective quotas.
Counselling Centres: Set up and manage counselling centres where applicable.
Fee Structure: Fix and manage counselling fees and other deposits.
Audit of Funds: Manage the audit of funds allocated for counselling and related tasks.
Legal Matters: Handle court cases and legal matters regarding counselling.

1. UG Counselling:
MCC conducts counselling for the following seats under UG Counselling (NEET UG):

3. Super-Specialty Counselling:
For DM/MCh courses, MCC is responsible for the 100% AIQ seats of contributing states and private colleges, except for Institutions of National Importance (INI).
