The Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme provides an opportunity for foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to pursue undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs in various institutes across India, particularly in engineering and architecture. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for DASA UG 2025, candidates must:
• Have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology.
• Have a minimum aggregate of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.50 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination.
• Be born on or after October 1, 1996.
• Have a valid JEE Main score.
• Be a foreign national, PIO, OCI, or NRI.
Participating Institutes
DASA offers admissions to several prestigious institutes in India. These include the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other renowned engineering colleges. Some of the major participating institutes include:
• IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, etc.
• NITs such as NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, NIT Surathkal, etc.
• Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPA) in Delhi, Bhopal, and Vijayawada.
DASA 2025 Counselling Schedule
The registration process for DASA 2025 begins on 30 July 2025 at 10:00 AM. Candidates must complete the payment of the DASA Enrolment Fee (DEF) and start uploading their documents. Only after successful document verification can they proceed to choice filling. The deadline to complete this process is 3 August 2025 at 5:00 PM.

Seat Allotment Rounds (DASA 2025)
The result for Round 1 of DASA seat allotment will be declared on 9 August 2025 at 5:00 PM. After seat allotment, candidates must confirm their willingness to accept the seat through options such as Freeze, Slide, or Float. The willingness submission window is open until 12 August 2025 at 5:00 PM.

Final Reporting at Allotted Institute
All candidates who confirm their seat through DASA counselling must report physically to the allotted institute between 20 August and 23 August 2025. During this period, they must also pay the balance fee as required by the respective institute. The exact dates and instructions will be available on each institute’s official website.

Dasa 2025 Admission Process

DASA 2025 Counselling Process
- Registration: Eligible candidates must register online through https://csab.nic.in using JEE Main credentials.
- Fee Payment: Pay the DASA Enrollment Fee (DEF) and upload all necessary documents.
- Document Verification: DASA documents are pre-verified by officials. Queries, if raised, must be answered within the deadline.
- Choice Filling: After successful document verification, candidates can fill and lock their preferred college/program choices.
- Seat Allotment: Seats will be allocated in 3 rounds based on JEE Main rank and choice preferences.
- Seat Confirmation: Candidates must confirm their seats by responding to seat allotment and completing online reporting.
- Reporting: Final reporting and balance fee payment must be done at the allotted institute between 20–23 August 2025.
Important Note on CSAB-Special Participation
Candidates who are OCI/PIO/NRI can also participate in CSAB-Special 2025. You can:
- Apply only through DASA
- Apply only through CSAB-Special
- Apply through both (DASA + CSAB-Special)
However, you must complete a common registration on the CSAB portal and choose your preference at the time of application.
