General Information
APECET 2026 is conducted:
- For lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E./B.Tech. courses (10% over and above sanctioned intake)
- For lateral admission into AICTE approved Un-Aided Private Professional Institutions (Minority & Non-Minority) (10% over and above sanctioned intake)
- For lateral admission into 2nd year B.Pharmacy courses (for Diploma holders only)
Note: B.Sc. degree holders are not eligible for admission into Pharmacy course.
Eligibility for Writing the Test
Candidates must:
- Be of Indian Nationality
- Belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh
- Satisfy local/non-local status requirements as per Government orders
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma in Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy from State Board or AICTE approved institution recognized by Government of AP
OR
- 3-year B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects from recognized University
- Minimum 45% marks (40% for BC/SC/ST candidates)
- Diploma pursuing candidates eligible provided they complete and pass before admission
APECET 2026 – Pattern of Examination
The following examination pattern applies to all streams. Subject-wise marks distribution, evaluation and ranking criteria are detailed below.
Total: 200 Marks – 200 Objective Type Questions
Engineering Stream- Mathematics – 50 Marks
- Physics – 25 Marks
- Chemistry – 25 Marks
- Engineering Subject – 100 Marks (Separate paper for each branch)
Pharmacy Stream- Pharmaceutics – 50 Marks
- Pharmaceutical Chemistry – 50 Marks
- Pharmacognosy – 50 Marks
- Pharmacology – 50 Marks
B.Sc. (with Mathematics) Stream- Mathematics – 100 Marks
- Analytical Ability – 50 Marks
- Communicative English – 50 Marks
Qualifying Marks
- 25% aggregate (50 out of 200) required for ranking
- No minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates
- Invalid SC/ST claims will lead to cancellation of rank
Evaluation and Ranking
- Ranking based on marks obtained in APECET 2026
- No revaluation or re-totaling entertained
- Separate ranking for each Engineering branch
Tie-Breaking – Engineering- Engineering subject marks
- Mathematics marks
- Physics marks
- If tie continues, candidates bracketed
- Older candidate preferred at admission
Tie-Breaking – Pharmacy- Same rank for equal marks
- Older candidate preferred
Tie-Breaking – B.Sc.- Mathematics marks

Order of Preference in Admissions- IT & CSE – Preference to respective Diploma holders; remaining seats filled via integrated merit
- Chemical Engineering – Textile candidates must have completed Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
- Biotechnology – Preference to Biotechnology Diploma; remaining seats filled in 1:1 ratio from Pharmacy and Chemical Engineering
- Industrial Electronics & Instrumentation Diploma holders must appear for EIE paper
- B.Sc. candidates considered only after exhausting Diploma holders
Test Centres- Available in web application
- Allocation on First Come First Served basis
- No guarantee of first choice allotment
General Instructions- Examination conducted online only
- Question paper in English only
- Identical photographs mandatory
- Morning Session: No entry after 9:00 AM; cannot leave before 12:00 Noon
