IISER (IAT)

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) are a group of premier institutions in India dedicated to fostering excellence in science education and research. Established by the Government of India, IISERs aim to integrate education and research in the natural sciences, providing students with an in-depth, interdisciplinary approach to science. There are currently IISER campuses in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati.
Β The primary goal of IISERs is to nurture students who will contribute to the development of innovative, sustainable solutions for global and societal challenges. IISERs are known for their research output, including a high number of patents and publications in top-tier international journals. The institutions attract some of the brightest minds in science, with faculty members of international repute guiding students toward significant academic and research accomplishments.
IAT 2026 stands for IISER Aptitude Test 2026, which is an entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs). It is used to determine the eligibility of candidates for admission into the BS-MS and B.Tech. programs offered by IISERs.
IAT 2026 is a computer-based test designed to assess the aptitude of students in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. The test is conducted to shortlist students for undergraduate programs at IISERs. Successful candidates are eligible for admission into BS-MS and B.Tech. programs.
