The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Chennai, has officially commenced the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2025 counselling process for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. The registration is open for both government quota and management quota seats. Eligible candidates can now register for Tamil Nadu NEET 2025 counselling by visiting the official portal at tnmedicalselection.net.
The NEET 2025 result was declared on June 14, 2025, and candidates who qualified are required to complete the counselling registration before the deadline of June 25, 2025. During the application process, candidates must upload their NEET 2025 admit card along with other necessary documents as per the guidelines.
The counselling is applicable for admission to medical and dental colleges across Tamil Nadu under state quota (government and self-financed institutions) and management quota seats. The counselling will be conducted in multiple phases, including Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round, depending on the availability of seats.
As of now, the detailed Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2025 schedule for subsequent rounds and events has not been released. All updates regarding choice filling, merit list publication, allotment results, and further rounds will be made available on the official website in due course.

As per Tamil Nadu Act No.34 of 2020:
• 7.5% of all government seats are reserved for government school students.
• Candidates must have studied from Class 6 to 12 in government schools.
• Vacant seats will be filled as per general merit.
• Discontinuation after admission under this quota will result in penalties and reimbursement of educational costs.
