Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2025 : Registration, Fees, Eligibility,
The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DME&R), Tamil Nadu has officially released the Round 1 online counselling schedule for admission to MBBS & BDS degree courses for the 2026-2027 session. Registration, payment, and choice filling & locking are open from 13 August 2026 (12:00 Noon) to 19 August 2026 (5:00 PM).
The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Chennai, has officially released the Round 1 Online Counselling Schedule for admission to MBBS and BDS degree courses in Tamil Nadu Government Medical & Dental Colleges, ESIC Medical College (K.K. Nagar, Chennai), Government & Management Quota (including NRI & Minority) seats in Self-Financing Medical & Dental Colleges, State Private Universities, Christian Medical College Vellore, and wards of IRT candidates, for the 2026-2027 session. Registration is open at the official portal, tnmedicalselection.net.
The NEET UG 2026 result has been declared, and the Selection Committee has now issued the confirmed Round 1 schedule covering registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment processing, result publication, and reporting/joining dates. Applicants must complete the online registration, choice filling, and fee payment well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical issues.
The counselling is applicable for admission to medical and dental colleges across Tamil Nadu under state quota (government and self-financed institutions) and management quota seats. The counselling will be conducted in multiple phases, including Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round, depending on the availability of seats.

• 7.5% of all government seats are reserved for government school students.
• Candidates must have studied from Class 6 to 12 in government schools.
• Vacant seats will be filled as per general merit.
• Discontinuation after admission under this quota will result in penalties and reimbursement of educational costs.

o Private/Management: ₹30,000 - ₹1,00,000 (refundable for some categories)
4. Choice Filling: Select and lock preferred colleges and courses (within the 13–19 August 2026 window for Round 1).
5. Seat Allotment: Processed on 20 August 2026, based on rank, category, and preferences; result published on 21 August 2026.
6. Reporting: Download provisional allotment order (22–28 August 2026) and report to college with documents for verification and joining (23–28 August 2026).
7. Further Rounds: Round 2, Mop-up, and Stray rounds based on vacancy (schedule to be announced separately).
