NEET UG Counselling Process for Tamil Nadu Eligibiity
In order to get admission to MBBS in Tamil Nadu, one has to be eligible to take NEET UG 2025 and satisfy the eligibility criteria established by DME. The student is required to have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with the minimum required marks as well as to meet stage quota requirements in reference to age and domicile.
- Candidates must have passed the 12th standard (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as subjects from a recognized board.
- General category students need at least 50% marks in the 12th standard, while SC/ST/OBC candidates require 40% marks.
- Candidates must have appeared for NEET UG and obtained the minimum qualifying score.
- Age Limit:
- The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31st of the admission year.
- There is no upper age limit to apply for NEET UG.
Domicile Criteria
- Tamil Nadu Domicile:
- The candidate must be a resident of Tamil Nadu to be eligible for state quota seats.
- Candidates born in Tamil Nadu or residing in Tamil Nadu for the last 5 years are eligible.
- For non-Tamil Nadu residents, the candidate can apply for All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
