The Government Dharmapuri Medical College, Dharmapuri is a Government College established in the Year 2008. The Medical college is affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC). It has an annual intake of 100 seats in MBBS and 38 seats in 7 disciplines of Post-Graduate studies. The College is linked with the different sections of the town by bus routes and is very near to the National Highway NH-47 and the nearest railway station by just a few meters away from the college.
About Hospital
The hospital is fully equipped with 500 beds with fully loaded ICU’s and Operation Theatres including major and minor OT. It is a tertiary care hospital with 24X7 emergency and trauma care facility, Eye bank and blood bank facilities are available. There are special clinics like: Club foot, Congenital defects screening, Hypertension, Diabetic, Transgender, Glaucoma, Cornea and Teen clinic on different days in a week. There are very good clinical and diagnostic facilities in the Hospital.
