UP NEET UG 2025 Counselling – Registration Ongoing!

UP NEET UG 2025: Uttar Pradesh has announced its Round 1 counselling schedule for MBBS/BDS courses. The UP NEET UG Counselling 2025 allows suitable candidates the chance to grab a seat in government and private medical/dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Eligibility Criteria of UP NEET UG Counselling 2025

To participate, candidates must qualify for NEET UG 2025 and fulfil UP domicile norms (except for NRI/management quota seats).

• Must qualify NEET UG 2025 with the required cutoff percentile.
• Must be a citizen of India and possess a valid UP domicile certificate (except for NRI/management quota).
• Completion of Class 12 with PCB and English is mandatory.
• Minimum marks required:
  • General: 50%
  • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
  • PwD: 45%
• Candidate must be 17 years old by December 31, 2025.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2025: Round-wise Schedule

The counselling will be held in four major rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy. Each round has its own set of deadlines for registration, choice filling, allotment, and reporting.

Round 1 Schedule

Round 1 is the main round where most of the government and private college seats are allotted. Candidates can choose colleges, lock choices, and get seats based on their NEET rank.

Round 2 Schedule

In this round, candidates who didn’t get a seat or want to upgrade can apply. Fresh registrations are allowed for new users, and seat allotments are made based on fresh preferences and available seats.

Mop-Up Round

The Mop-Up Round is for leftover seats after Round 2, mainly in private medical and dental colleges. This round is crucial for students who missed out earlier or didn’t join their allotted seats.

Stray Vacancy Round

This is the final round where seats are filled at the college level. Only previously registered candidates who haven’t joined any seat can participate. No fresh registrations are accepted.

UP NEET Counselling Fee & Security Deposit (2025)

Candidates need to pay a non-refundable application fee and a refundable security deposit. The security deposit varies depending on the type of college and is essential to secure the seat.

This is a mandatory, non-refundable fee that must be paid at the time of online registration for each round of counselling.

UP NEET Counselling Security Deposit

The refundable security deposit varies according to the type of college you’re applying to. This amount is forfeited if the candidate fails to join after seat allotment.

🔹 Round 1 Process

• Step 1: Register on upneet.gov.in
• Step 2: Pay the application & security deposit fee

• Step 4: Fill in college & course preferences
• Step 5: Wait for the allotment result and download the letter

🔹 Stray Vacancy Round

• No new registrations allowed
• Conducted directly by colleges
• The vacant seat list will be published on individual college websites
