The Uttar Pradesh NEET UG 2026 counselling application form is now live. As per the original notice issued by the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh on 3rd August 2026, Round 1 online registration had opened on 7th August 2026. As per the Extended Time Schedule issued vide Notice No. ME-3/2026/1517 dated 12th August 2026, the registration and document upload window was extended to 13th August 2026 (11:00 AM) to 14th August 2026 (2:00 PM), with registration fee and security money deposit allowed till 14th August 2026 (5:00 PM). Following this, DGME UP released the Choice Filling and Admission Process schedule for Round 1 vide Notice No. ME-3/2026/1605, dated 1 September 2026: online choice filling was open from 2 September 2026 (5:00 PM) to 5 September 2026 (5:00 PM), the seat allotment result was declared on 7 September 2026, and candidates downloaded their allotment letter and completed admission from 8 September 2026 to 14 September 2026. Now, DGME UP has released the Time Schedule for the Second Round of Online Counselling vide Notice No. ME-3/2026/1644, dated 11 September 2026: online registration is open from 14 September 2026 (5:00 PM) to 17 September 2026 (11:00 AM), choice filling from 17 September 2026 (5:00 PM) to 19 September 2026 (5:00 PM), allotment result on 21 September 2026, and admission process from 22 September 2026 to 25 September 2026. UP NEET UG 2026 Counselling – Round 2 Schedule Released!

UP NEET UG 2026: Uttar Pradesh has completed Round 1 counselling for MBBS/BDS courses and has now announced the Round 2 schedule vide Notice No. ME-3/2026/1644, dated 11 September 2026. Eligibility Criteria of UP NEET UG Counselling 2026

To participate, candidates must qualify for NEET UG 2026 and fulfil UP domicile norms (except for NRI/management quota seats).

• Must qualify NEET UG 2026 with the required cutoff percentile.
• Must be a citizen of India and possess a valid UP domicile certificate (except for NRI/management quota).
• Completion of Class 12 with PCB and English is mandatory.
• Minimum marks required:
  • General: 50%
  • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
  • PwD: 45%
• Candidate must be 17 years old by December 31, 2026.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round-wise Schedule

The counselling will be held in four major rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy. Each round has its own set of deadlines for registration, choice filling, allotment, and reporting. Round 1 and Round 2 dates below are officially confirmed for 2026; Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy dates for 2026 have not been announced yet and the tables below show last year’s (2025) pattern for reference only.

Round 1 Schedule (Official & Complete – 2026)

Round 1 is the main round where most of the government and private college seats are allotted. Candidates can choose colleges, lock choices, and get seats based on their NEET rank.

Round 2 Schedule (Official & Complete – 2026)

In this round, candidates who didn’t get a seat in Round 1 or want to upgrade can apply. Fresh registrations are allowed for new candidates, all previous candidates can revise their choices, and seat allotments are made based on fresh preferences and available seats. DGME UP has officially released the Round 2 schedule vide Notice No. ME-3/2026/1644, dated 11th September 2026, in continuation of the time-table issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi.

Mop-Up Round (2026 – To Be Announced)

The Mop-Up Round is for leftover seats after Round 2, mainly in private medical and dental colleges. This round is crucial for students who missed out earlier or didn’t join their allotted seats. 2026 dates are awaited; the table below shows last year’s (2025) pattern for reference only.

MBBS Bond Policy in Uttar Pradesh 2026

Candidates seeking MBBS admission in Uttar Pradesh should understand the applicable service bond, penalty and discontinuation conditions before taking admission.

Note: As per the available bond-policy data, applicable MBBS candidates in Uttar Pradesh are required to complete a 2-year service obligation, with a ₹10 Lakhs penalty for non-compliance. The discontinuation penalty is listed as ₹1 Lakh plus the applicable entire course fees. Candidates should verify the latest 2026-27 admission notification and bond conditions before taking admission.

UP NEET Counselling Fee & Security Deposit (2026, Official)

Candidates need to pay a non-refundable application fee and a refundable security deposit. As per the official DGME UP Round 1 notice dated 3rd August 2026 (registration window subsequently extended vide Notice No. ME-3/2026/1517 dated 12th August 2026), a registration fee of ₹2,000 and a category-wise refundable security deposit (₹30,000 for government seats up to ₹2,00,000 for private medical seats) have been prescribed. The security deposit varies depending on the type of college and is essential to secure the seat.

UP NEET Counselling Registration Fee

This is a mandatory, non-refundable fee that must be paid at the time of online registration for each round of counselling.

Note: Round 1 fee is officially confirmed for 2026 (DGME UP notice dated 03.08.2026; registration window extended vide Notice No. ME-3/2026/1517 dated 12.08.2026). Round 2 schedule is confirmed vide Notice No. ME-3/2026/1644 dated 11.09.2026; candidates should check the exact fee amount on the portal at the time of registration. Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy Round fees are last year’s figures shown for reference and will be confirmed once notified for 2026.

UP NEET Counselling Security Deposit (Round 1 – 2026, Official)

The refundable security deposit varies according to the type of college you’re applying to. This amount is forfeited if the candidate fails to join after seat allotment.

🔹 Round 1 Process

• Step 1: Register on upneet.gov.in
• Step 2: Pay the application & security deposit fee
• Step 3: Upload required documents
• Step 4: Fill in college & course preferences (2 – 5 September 2026)
• Step 5: Wait for the allotment result (7 September 2026) and download the letter
• Step 6: Report to the allotted institute with documents and the fee (8 – 14 September 2026)

➡ Free Exit is allowed in Round 1 if the candidate does not want to retain the allotted seat.

🔹 Round 2 Process (Official – 2026)

• Step 1: New candidates register on upneet.gov.in from 14 September 2026 (5:00 PM) to 17 September 2026 (11:00 AM)
• Step 2: Deposit registration & security fee by 17 September 2026 (2:00 PM)
• Step 3: Merit list is declared on 17 September 2026
• Step 4: Fill/revise college & course preferences from 17 September 2026 (5:00 PM) to 19 September 2026 (5:00 PM)
• Step 5: Seat allotment result is declared on 21 September 2026
• Step 6: Download allotment letter and report to the allotted institute from 22 September 2026 to 25 September 2026

All previous Round 1 candidates can revise their choices in Round 2, and seat upgrade is allowed for Round 1 seat holders based on merit and fresh choice filling.
