Meghalaya NEET 2026 counselling for MBBS admission under the State Quota is being conducted by the Office of the Director of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Meghalaya, Pasteur Hills, Shillong, as per Advertisement No. DHSMER.150/MBBS Admission/2026-27/4552 dated 5th August 2026. Only NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates who are indigenous inhabitants / Permanent Residents of Meghalaya are eligible to apply. Unlike earlier years, the application process is now fully online through the official website www.meghealth.gov.in. The same advertisement also covers State Quota seats for BDS, BHMS, BAMS and BUMS courses.

As per the official advertisement issued by DME Meghalaya on 5th August 2026, the online application process for Meghalaya NEET UG Counselling 2026 (MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BAMS/BUMS) is open from 6th August 2026 to 16th August 2026 (till 5:00 PM). Candidates are advised to complete the registration process, submit the required documents, and keep checking the official website www.meghealth.gov.in for the merit list, screening/counselling schedule, and nomination list.

Note: Selected candidates who fail to report on the fixed date will automatically lose their right to nomination, and the next eligible candidate from the waiting list will be nominated. No individual intimation will be sent to applicants – candidates must check the notice board / official website / local dailies (Shillong & Tura) themselves.
Candidates must be indigenous inhabitants or Permanent Residents of Meghalaya. Exceptions are made for children of Central/State/UT Government employees posted in Meghalaya. Candidates must complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2026, with no upper age limit. They must have passed the 10+2 level examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, must qualify NEET UG 2026, and must be medically fit. Applications without the NEET UG 2026 result sheet will not be considered under any circumstances.
The application process for Meghalaya NEET UG Counselling 2026 is now fully online. Candidates must fill and submit the online application form through www.meghealth.gov.in between 6th and 16th August 2026 (till 5:00 PM). Incomplete applications, or applications submitted after the deadline, will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Candidates will be ranked on merit as per their NEET UG 2026 score within their respective category (General/SC/ST/OBC etc.), subject to the Reservation Policy of the State of Meghalaya. The list of candidates eligible for screening/counselling, and later the final nomination and waiting list, will be published on the official website and displayed on the Notice Board of DME Meghalaya, Shillong and the Office of the District Medical & Health Officer, Tura, West Garo Hills, as well as in local dailies published from Shillong and Tura. No individual intimation will be sent – applicants must check these sources themselves.
All information and documents submitted (including marks, category status and certificates) are subject to verification. If any information is found to be false, fabricated or incorrect at any stage – even during the course of study – the admission will be cancelled immediately, the candidate will be debarred from any State Government quota admission for 3 years, and legal/criminal proceedings may be initiated against the candidate and, where applicable, their parents/guardian.
