Meghalaya NEET UG Counselling 2025 – Dates and Schedule

The official dates for Meghalaya NEET 2025 counselling have been released by NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. The counselling is being conducted for MBBS admissions under the state quota and is being held in offline mode. The application window was open for a limited period from July 1 to July 15, 2025, and no second registration window is available for the first round.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be permanent residents of Meghalaya and should possess a valid Permanent Resident Certificate. Exceptions are made for children of Central/State/UT Government employees posted in Meghalaya. Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31, 2025. They should have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects, and must qualify NEET UG 2025.

Application Process

The application form for Meghalaya NEET 2025 counselling will be released online but must be submitted offline. Candidates must submit the filled application form along with a ₹500 challan payment (original NEIGRIHMS copy) by dropping it in the box placed outside the Examination Cell, Director’s Block, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong or send via speed post. Incomplete or late forms will not be accepted.

Merit List and Screening

A merit list of eligible candidates will be published by NEIGRIHMS, both online and offline. Shortlisted candidates must report for document verification at either Civil Hospital, Shillong or Civil Hospital, Tura. Candidates must carry all original documents including NEET admit card, result, class 10 and 12 mark sheets, domicile and caste certificates (if applicable), and character certificate.

Counselling Venue

The counselling process is conducted offline at the Director’s Conference Room, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. Seats will be allotted based on NEET scores and eligibility criteria. Candidates allotted seats must report to the Health & Family Welfare Department, Meghalaya Secretariat, Shillong, to confirm admission within the given timeline. Failure to report leads to cancellation of allotment.

Bond-cum-Agreement

All selected candidates must sign a bond with the Government of Meghalaya, agreeing to serve in rural areas for five years after completing MBBS. Failure to comply will result in a penalty of ₹10 lakh. The bond must be executed on a ₹30 non-judicial stamp paper. The format can be downloaded from the official websites: meghealth.gov.in and meghalaya.gov.in.
