Shahabuddin Medical College

Shahabuddin Medical College and Hospital is one of the forerunners among private medical colleges in Bangladesh. Shahabuddin Medical College is running an MBBS course by taking approval from Govt. of Bangladesh; Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council and affiliated with the University of Dhaka since 2003. Founder Chairman Alhaj. Mohammed Shahabuddin an eminent businessman and social reformer take the initiative of forming this Medical College to serve humanity.

Bangladesh is a densely populated developing country with increased demand for both preventive and curative health care services. The Govt. of Bangladesh is committed to providing, adequate health services to the people according to social equity and for which eligible, efficient, and competent doctors and other auxiliaries are required for the same. Along with the Government Medical Colleges, Private Medical Colleges in Bangladesh are performing a very significant role in producing such competent doctors and providing specialized healthcare facilities at a reasonable cost. 

Along with the Bangladeshi students Shahabuddin Medical College also admits foreign students from around the globe. 45% of seats of Shahabuddin Medical College are allotted for admitting foreign students. Thus the vision of Shahabuddin Medical College is to produce nationally and globally competent doctors who can play a vital role in global health care services.
