The NEET PG Admission Pathway
To pursue MD/MS in India, aspirants must qualify for NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
Steps Involved:
- Qualify NEET PG Exam: Candidates need to achieve the minimum qualifying percentile (40th for SC/ST/OBC, 50th percentile for General).
- Participate in Counselling:Counselling is conducted through two main routes:
- State Quota: 50% seats for state-domiciled aspirants
- All India Quota (AIQ): 50% of government college seats
- Deemed/Private Universities: Managed via centralized or institutional counselling
- Seat Allotment: On the basis of NEET PG rank, category, and preferences, aspirants are allotted seats in government or private colleges.
- Admission & Document Verification: Once allotted, aspirants complete document verification and fee payment to secure their seat.
