MCC Counselling 2026 – Registration, Dates, Fees and Process

MCC Counselling 2026 is the centralized online counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. MCC facilitates admission to undergraduate (MBBS/BDS/B.Sc Nursing), postgraduate (MD/MS/MDS) and super-specialty (DM/MCh) courses. About Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)

MCC is the government body that manages seat allocation to medical courses on an all-India basis. It conducts online counselling for:

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in MBBS/BDS/B.Sc Nursing
• 50% AIQ seats in MD/MS/MDS
• 100% seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER and ESIC institutions
• 100% AIQ seats in Super-Specialty (DM/MCh), except Institutes of National Importance (INI)

The process is transparent, merit-based and time-bound, conducted entirely through www.mcc.nic.in.

NEET UG Counselling

MCC conducts NEET UG counselling for 15% All India Quota seats and 100% seats in:

• All AIIMS institutes
• JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal
• Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
• Delhi University (DU), VMMC, ABVIMS
• ESIC and Jamia Millia Islamia (BDS)
• AFMC and B.Sc Nursing courses in participating institutions

NEET PG Counselling

MCC Counselling 2026 for MD/MS/MDS includes 50% AIQ seats in government medical colleges, 100% seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities (AMU, BHU, DU) and ESIC/AFMS institutions. The registration schedule has not been released yet and will be updated once MCC issues the official notification.

NEET SS Counselling

MCC conducts NEET SS counselling for 100% AIQ seats in participating government and private institutions offering DM/MCh. INIs such as AIIMS, PGIMER and JIPMER hold separate counselling. The NEET SS 2026 schedule has not been announced yet.

Admission Process

Step-by-Step Application Guide

1. Visit the official MCC website: www.mcc.nic.in
2. Select your counselling type: UG, PG or SS
3. Register with your NEET roll number and personal details
4. Pay the registration fee and security deposit online
5. Fill and lock choices of preferred colleges and courses
6. Check the seat allotment result and download the allotment letter
7. Report to the allotted college and complete admission formalities
8. Candidates who chose Float and have already joined need not report physically again in later rounds. Eligible candidates may submit resignation online where MCC rules permit.

Registration Fee & Security Deposit

Registration fees are non-refundable. The security deposit is refunded after the counselling process ends, provided the candidate has joined or formally exited as per rules.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must qualify NEET UG / PG / SS 2026
• Must complete internship (PG/SS) by the stipulated date
• No domicile requirement for AIQ counselling
• Valid category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD) where applicable
• PwBD quota: prescribed Eligibility Certificate under the latest NMC guidelines, from any of the 61 authorized assessment centres
• NRI quota (including Indian to NRI conversion): must meet Supreme Court criteria and submit valid NRI/OCI supporting documents

Rounds of Counselling

Stray and later rounds are for candidates who are still unallotted or who wish to participate as per the round’s rules. Reporting within the stipulated time is mandatory in every round, except where the Float/online-verification option applies. No fresh registration is allowed for Deemed University seats in stray rounds.

Documents Required at the Time of Admission

• NEET Admit Card and Scorecard
• Provisional Allotment Letter from MCC
• Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets (UG) / MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate (PG)
• Internship Completion Certificate (PG/SS)
• Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport)
• Caste Certificate and PwD/EWS Certificate (if applicable)
• PwBD Eligibility Certificate from an authorized NMC assessment centre, plus any additional documents under the NMC guidelines (if applicable)
• NRI/OCI documents and sponsor/guardian relationship proof (if applying under NRI quota). Deemed University NRI documents can be uploaded online on the MCC portal.
• Float candidates may have originals verified online where permitted.
