Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026–27 is conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) through UGMAC (AYUSH)-2026 for admission to BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses in Government and Private AYUSH institutions of Bihar.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026–27 Overview
UGMAC (AYUSH)-2026 is the Bihar AYUSH counselling process conducted by BCECEB for admission to BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses in Government and Private AYUSH institutions. Candidates are considered on the basis of their NEET UG 2026 merit/rank.

Bihar AYUSH counselling covers seats in the Government and Private AYUSH institutions included in the BCECEB seat matrix.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026–27 Eligibility
NEET UG 2026 is mandatory: Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 to participate in UGMAC (AYUSH)-2026 counselling.
- The UGMAC (AYUSH)-2026 merit/rank list is prepared on the basis of the NEET UG 2026 merit/rank provided by NTA.
- Candidates must complete the prescribed registration and application process within the notified schedule.
- Course-specific eligibility conditions should be verified from the official UGMAC (AYUSH)-2026 prospectus before submitting the application.
UGMAC (AYUSH) Merit List & Rank Card
The UGMAC (AYUSH)-2026 merit list is prepared using the NEET UG 2026 merit/rank provided by NTA.
Candidates who successfully complete the registration, application and required payment process within the prescribed period receive their UGMAC (AYUSH) rank card. The first counselling schedule specifies 28 September 2026 for publication of the rank card.

Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026–27 Registration Process

Authenticate NEET Details
Enter the required NEET details, including NEET Roll Number, candidate name and date of birth.

Generate UGMAC ID
After successful authentication, candidates receive a UGMAC ID to access the counselling portal.

Fill Application Form
Enter personal, contact and educational details and upload the required photograph, signature and documents.
04
Pay Counselling Fee
Pay the applicable counselling fee according to the selected institution and candidate category.
05
Pay Security Deposit
Pay the applicable security deposit based on Government, Private or Government + Private choice.
06
Submit Application
Complete the final application submission within the notified deadline.

Choice Filling & Locking
After completing the application and required payment process, candidates can fill their preferred AYUSH courses and institutions.
- Select preferred AYUSH courses and institutions.
- Arrange the choices according to preference.
- Save the choices.
- Lock the choices within the prescribed deadline.
Important: If a candidate saves the choices but does not manually lock them, the saved choices are automatically locked after the choice-locking deadline.

Candidates should keep these documents safely for future counselling and admission requirements. The confirmation page does not need to be sent separately to the BCECEB office.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026–27 Seat Allotment
After completion of registration, application and choice filling, BCECEB conducts the seat allotment process on the basis of merit and choices filled by the candidate.
Candidates allotted a seat must follow the prescribed admission procedure to retain the seat or participate in subsequent counselling rounds.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling Round 1
Provisional Seat Allotment
Round 1 seat allotment is conducted on the basis of merit-cum-choice. The allotted seat depends on the candidate's merit and choices submitted during counselling.
Allotment Order
Candidates allotted a seat must download the Provisional Seat Allotment Order and follow the prescribed admission procedure.
Document Verification
Candidates must report with the required original documents and complete the prescribed verification and admission formalities.
FREEZE vs FLOAT

| FREEZE | Candidate retains the allotted seat and does not participate for an upgraded seat. |
| FLOAT | Candidate retains the current allotment while remaining eligible for upgradation in the subsequent counselling round. |
Important: Candidates selecting either FREEZE or FLOAT must complete the prescribed physical reporting, document verification and admission formalities.
Round 1 Free Exit & Resignation
Free Exit
Candidates who do not wish to continue with the Round 1 allotted seat can use the free-exit facility within the notified schedule.
Round 1 Date
The official 2026 schedule specifies 5 October 2026 for Round 1 free exit.
Resignation
A candidate admitted under FREEZE can resign within the prescribed schedule by completing the physical resignation process at the allotted institution.
Candidates who take free exit or resign after Round 1 remain eligible for Round 2. Their previous choices become null and void, and fresh choices are required for Round 2.

The 2026 schedule provides 6 October 2026 for Round 2 choice filling/editing, 7 October 2026 for choice locking and 10 October 2026 for provisional seat allotment.
Round 2 Freeze, Upgradation & Resignation
- Candidates accepting the Round 2 allotted seat must complete physical reporting, document verification and admission.
- Candidates seeking further upgradation may participate in the next round according to the applicable rules.
- Failure to complete the prescribed admission process can result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
- Resignation after Round 2 is subject to the applicable rules and may result in forfeiture of the security deposit.
- Candidates eligible for Round 3 must complete the required fresh payment and choice process wherever applicable.
Round 3 & Further Counselling
BCECEB's official notice states that UGMAC (AYUSH)-2026 counselling will be conducted through four rounds. The detailed programme and applicable rules for subsequent rounds will be notified by the Board.
Candidates who remain eligible for further upgradation can participate according to the applicable round-specific rules. For Round 3, candidates receiving an allotment are required to physically report to the allotted institution and complete admission within the prescribed deadline.

Important Bihar AYUSH Counselling Rules
Registration
Registration is applicable for the counselling process, with no separate registration-cum-submission between Round 1 and Round 2.
Choice Locking
Candidates should arrange, save and lock their choices before the prescribed deadline.
Freeze
A Freeze decision retains the allotted seat and the candidate does not participate in further upgradation through that option.
Float
Float allows the candidate to retain the current seat while remaining eligible for an upgrade as per counselling rules.
Free Exit
Round 1 provides a free-exit facility on the notified date, without forfeiture of the security deposit, subject to the prescribed rules.
Physical Reporting
Candidates receiving an allotment must report physically with original documents for verification and admission within the notified schedule.
