BITS Law School Mumbai: Overview
BITS Law School (BITSLAW) is a new-age law school founded under the aegis of BITS Pilani, an Institution of Eminence. It offers two five-year integrated, full-time residential undergraduate law programmes designed around interdisciplinary learning, mooting, clinical legal education, internships and its Readiness at Workplace (RAW) modules.
Admissions are currently open for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) for the batch whose academic session starts in August 2027. Both programmes are approved and recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
The admission process holistically evaluates a complete application form, Grade 12 marks, a recognised law entrance exam score, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, and performance in a personal interview. Where a candidate submits more than one eligible entrance score, BITSLAW considers the best score during application processing.

Eligibility & Accepted Entrance Examinations
What you need to qualify, and which entrance scores are accepted
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have completed Grade 10 and Grade 12 (or equivalent) from a recognised board.
- A minimum cumulative score of 45% in Grade 12 (or equivalent) is required.
- A valid score from an accepted law entrance examination is required.
- Candidates awaiting their final Grade 12 or entrance examination results may apply, and must indicate this in the application; the relevant scores must be submitted subsequently for the application to be considered complete.
Important: Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not by itself guarantee admission. BITS Law School follows a holistic evaluation covering the complete application, Grade 12 marks, entrance exam score, co/extra-curricular achievements and the personal interview.

BITS Law Admission Test (BITS LAT)
BITS LAT is the institute-level law admission test available to students who have not appeared for any other accepted entrance exam.

The G.D. Birla, K.K. Birla and Sarala Birla scholarships are offered as three special Birla Endowment Scholarships for Legal Studies to four law aspirants each cycle. Scholarships are subject to the eligibility criteria and selection process applicable to the admission year, and categories may not normally be combined unless specifically permitted.
