MBBS Eligibility Criteria at CIMER KGF

• Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026 (born on or before 31 December 2009)
• Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, each passed individually as per NMC regulations
• Must qualify NEET UG 2026, obtain the prescribed qualifying percentile, and secure a valid NEET rank
• Must participate in MCC Deemed University Counselling - admission is not permitted without qualifying NEET UG 2026

MCC Counselling Process for CIMER KGF MBBS Admission

Admission is conducted entirely through MCC under the 100% All India Deemed University Counselling process.

Important: Failure to report within the prescribed deadline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

Note: The annual intake and seat matrix are subject to approval and updates by the National Medical Commission (NMC), Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and the competent authorities for the academic session 2026-27. MBBS Fee Structure 2026-27

According to the official Information Bulletin, the total tuition fee for the entire MBBS programme is ₹1,00,00,000 (Rupees One Crore), payable only during the 4½ years of academic study, with no tuition fee during the one-year CRMI. Two payment options are available.

Hostel Fee Structure 2026-27

Hostel accommodation is optional and subject to availability. Hostel rules, room allocation, and other conditions are governed by the institute.

Mode of Fee Payment

Fees may be paid through Demand Draft (DD), RTGS, NEFT, or Internet Banking. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Chettinad Institute of Medical Education and Research, payable at Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), Karnataka.

Note: Candidates are advised to verify the payment details from the latest admission notification before transferring the admission fee. At admission, candidates generally pay the first tuition instalment, one-time admission charges, and hostel fee (if opted). From the second year onwards, students pay the annual tuition instalment and hostel fee (if applicable). Part payment of tuition fee is generally not accepted.

MBBS Refund Policy 2026-27

Discontinuation Policy

If a candidate leaves the course after the MCC counselling cut-off date, or vacates the allotted seat such that it cannot be filled by another eligible candidate, the institute may recover the tuition fee and other applicable charges for the remaining duration of the MBBS programme, as per institutional rules.

Break of Study Policy

If the duration of study is extended due to academic or other approved reasons, it is treated as a Break of Study, and the institute may levy a Break Fee for the extended period as per applicable university regulations.

Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI)

CRMI is the final and mandatory component of the MBBS programme at CIMER KGF. After completing 4½ years of academic study and passing the Final MBBS Part II Examination, every student must undergo 12 months of supervised clinical internship as per NMC regulations, applying theoretical knowledge in real clinical settings while strengthening practical skills, professional ethics, and clinical decision-making.

Successful completion of the internship is mandatory for obtaining medical registration under the National Medical Commission and for pursuing postgraduate medical education or clinical practice.
