📝 Admission Basis

Admissions are based entirely on JEE Main 2026 Paper-I Common Rank List (CRL).

• No separate entrance test is conducted by DU
• DU uses only JEE Main CRL, not percentile
• Higher-ranked candidates get higher preferences first

Applications are accepted only through:

The admission process is completely online.

📚 Academic Requirements

• Pass Class XII (or equivalent) from a recognized board
• Must have studied: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English

• Must appear in JEE Main 2026 Paper-I
• Admission is based solely on JEE Main CRL

Not Eligible:
• Students placed in compartment / supplementary examinations in 2026 are not eligible for admission in 2026–27

💳 Registration-cum-Allocation Fee

⚠️ The fee is non-refundable.

Step 1: Registration

Candidate enters:

• JEE Main Application Number
• JEE Main Roll Number
• Name
• Date of Birth
• Email
• Mobile Number

Step 2: Profile Details

Candidates verify:

• Personal information
• Category
• JEE Main CRL
• Bank details

⚠️ Once locked, details cannot be edited.

Step 3: Upload Documents

• Upload category certificates and required documents

⚠️ Any forged or unreadable documents can lead to cancellation of admission and legal action.

Step 4: Programme Preferences

Candidates arrange branch preferences. Example:
1. CSE    2. ECE    3. EE

• Preference order is extremely important because seat allocation follows this order
• Preferences cannot be changed after the deadline

Step 5: Academic Details

Enter:

• Class XII marks
• Subject-wise marks
• Theory and practical marks separately

Step 6: Final Submission

• Pay registration fee
• Submit application

📋 Seat Allocation Rules

Allocation depends on:

• JEE Main CRL
• Candidate category
• Programme preference order
• Seat availability

Key Rule:

✅ Admission After Seat Allocation

When a seat is allotted, candidate must:

• Accept seat online
• Attend physical document verification
• Pay admission confirmation fee

⚠️ Failure to do any step leads to cancellation.

🔄 Upgrade and Freeze System

After admission, students can choose:

Upgrade:
• Seek a higher-preference branch in later rounds
• Existing seat automatically gets replaced if upgraded

Freeze:
• Lock current seat permanently
• No further upgrades

📄 Document Verification

Physical verification is compulsory after seat acceptance.

Verification includes:
• Eligibility
• JEE Main rank
• Original certificates
• Reservation certificates

⚠️ Admission can be cancelled immediately if documents are inadequate or fake.

🎁 Reimbursement Details

Every admitted student can claim:

• Laptop Cost Reimbursement up to: ₹50,000 or actual laptop cost (whichever is lower)

📋 Conditions

• Laptop invoice must be in student's name
• Purchase should not be on EMI
• Full first-year fee must be paid
• Application must be submitted within 30 days after admission closure

📋 Vertical Reservation

• OBC must be Central List OBC-NCL
• OBC certificate should be issued after 31 March 2026
• EWS certificate should also be issued after 31 March 2026

⭐ Supernumerary Quotas

Separate allocation lists are prepared. Includes:

PwBD: 5% seats reserved in each programme

Other Supernumerary Categories:
• CW (Children/Widows of Armed Forces Personnel)
• Kashmiri Migrants (KM)
• Single Girl Child (SGC)
• Orphan Category
• Foreign Nationals

📋 Withdrawal Policy

• Students can withdraw admission through dashboard

Withdrawal Charge: ₹1,000

Refund: Admission fee refunded after deduction of ₹5,000, provided withdrawal is before final admission deadline

⚠️ Refund processing may take up to three months after admission closes.

🚪 Mid-Entry

Students who missed the original registration can join later through Mid-Entry.

Mid-Entry Fee: ₹2,500 (non-refundable)

Important:
• No claim on earlier vacant seats
• No upgrade after seat allotment

🎯 Spot Admission Rounds

If seats remain vacant, DU may conduct Spot Rounds.

• No upgrades during spot rounds
• Admission becomes mandatory if allotted
