🏫 About the University

Uttar Pradesh Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan (DUVASU), Mathura was established by Government of Uttar Pradesh through Act No. 27 of 2001 on October 25, 2001, by carving out all the units of College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from C.S. Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur.

  • The College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Mathura became its first constituent college.
  • The parent institution was the first Veterinary College set up before independence of India on 16th January 1947.
  • It was the first Veterinary College in Asia to start:
    • Degree programme in Veterinary Science
    • M.V.Sc./M.Sc. degree programmes in 1951
    • Ph.D. degree programmes thereafter

The University has been named after Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, who propounded the philosophy of “Integrated Humanism”.

  • DEE-2026 will be conducted at:
    • Lucknow
    • Mathura
  • Candidates will be offered two choices for examination centre.
  • One of the choices must be Mathura.
  • The University reserves the right to cancel any centre due to logistical issues or insufficient number of candidates.
  • In such case, candidates must appear at alternate centre allotted.
  • No claim shall be entertained for non-appearance due to change of centre.

🏛 Reservation Policy

Reservation policy as per Uttar Pradesh Government Rules:

Vertical (Main Category)

  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 21%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 2%
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27%
  • Unreserved (UR): 50% (including 10% EWS)

Sub-Categories (From Main Categories)

  • Children of U.P. Freedom Fighters: One seat
  • Children of Defence Persons (Armed Forces): One seat
  • Physically Handicapped: One seat
  • Candidates claiming reservation must submit valid certificate issued by competent authority at the time of counselling.
  • Failure to produce certificate will result in consideration under UR category.
  • Vacant reserved seats will be filled from UR category candidates.
  • For Physically Handicapped category, U.P. Government rules will apply.

👨‍👩‍👧 University Employee Ward Seat

  • Only spouse/children of regular employees of DUVASU, Mathura are eligible.
  • Applicant must submit due certificate from University.
  • Unfilled employee ward seats in Diploma programme will be transferred to UR category.

Diploma Programme – Academic Session 2026–27

📊 Basis of Admission

  • Admission shall be made strictly in order of merit-cum-reservation.
  • Merit shall be based on the aggregate marks obtained in DEE-2026.

📈 Minimum Qualifying Percentile

  • Minimum qualifying marks for counselling eligibility:
    • 30 percentile for UR/OBC/EWS candidates
    • 20 percentile for SC/ST candidates
  • The percentile shall be determined based on the highest marks secured in DEE-2026.
  • The University reserves the right to lower the cut-off criteria if seats remain vacant.
  • Mere obtaining marks above the qualifying criteria does not guarantee admission.
  • The candidate must:
    • Be included in the merit list
    • Produce all relevant certificates at the time of counselling
    • Claim the correct category during application submission

⚖ Inter-se Ranking (Tie-Breaking Criteria)

In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks in DEE-2026, ranking shall be determined in the following order:

  • Higher aggregate percentage of marks in Intermediate (10+2) examination.
  • Higher aggregate percentage of marks in science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology/Biology) in Intermediate (10+2).
  • If still equal:
    • Candidate senior in age (earlier date of birth) shall rank higher for selection.

🗂 Counselling

        Academic Session 2026–27

  • The University will strive to conduct counselling in online mode. However, if required, counselling may be conducted in offline mode at the University headquarters.
  • All information regarding counselling will be made available on the University website.
  • Candidates are strongly advised to visit the University website regularly for updates.

🏫 Offline Counselling

  • If offline counselling is conducted:
  • Candidate must pay a counselling fee of Rs. 500.00 (Non-refundable) at the counselling counter on the day of counselling.
  • Candidate must deposit the full fee at the time of admission for the allotted seat.
  • Offline counselling may be conducted in multiple rounds.
  • Vacant seats from one round will be carried forward to the next round.
  • Candidates must regularly check the University website for counselling schedule and updates.

💻 Online Counselling

The University will attempt to conduct online counselling. Detailed guidelines will be placed on the website.

  • Candidates must regularly visit the University website.
  • No complaint or petition will be entertained due to lack of awareness.

  • Second Stage: Offline counselling conducted at University headquarters.

  • Candidate must login after result declaration.
  • Must pay Rs. 500.00 (Non-refundable).
  • Payment through online mode only.
  • Payment gateway charges, if any, will be additional.

🪑 Seat Allotment

  • Online counselling will be conducted in multiple stages.
  • Seat allotment will be based on:
    • Merit
    • Choice filled
    • Category

💰 Seat Acceptance Fee

  • Allotment will be provisional.
  • Candidate must deposit Rs. 5000.00 (plus PG charges, if any) online.
  • Without payment, seat allotment will be cancelled automatically.
  • No appeal will be entertained for transaction failure or non-payment.

⬆ Upgradation Option

  • After depositing seat acceptance fee, candidate may:
    • Retain the allotted seat, or
    • Apply for upgradation
  • Deposit of seat acceptance fee is mandatory for upgradation consideration.

✅ Confirmation of Admission

  • Provisional admission subject to document verification.
  • Seat acceptance fee will be adjusted in final fee payment.
  • If admission is cancelled due to:
    • Lack of documents, or
    • Misrepresentation of facts
  • The seat acceptance fee will be forfeited.

🏫 Offline Round After Online Counselling

  • After completion of online counselling, one offline round will be conducted.
  • Candidates who participated online but did not secure admission may participate.
  • Admission subject to:
    • Merit
    • Course preference
    • Category
    • Document verification
    • Fee payment

🔚 Mop-Up Round

  • If required, mop-up round will be conducted.
  • Mode: Offline.
  • Venue: University headquarters.
  • Details will be published on the website.

📑 Documents to be Produced at the Time of Counselling

Candidates must produce the following documents:

🎓 Educational Documents

  • Certificate of passing 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/Mathematics and English from recognized board.
  • Mark sheet of 10+2 or equivalent examination.
  • Class X certificate stating date of birth.
  • For PG/PhD candidates:
    • Certificate of passing qualifying degree examination.
    • If degree is not completed:
      • Provisional certificate from Registrar/Dean stating expected completion before registration date.

🪪 Entrance & Institutional Documents

  • Admit card issued for entrance examination.
  • Migration certificate and/or Transfer certificate.
  • Character Certificate from last institution attended.
    • If older than 6 months, a certificate from a Gazetted Officer may be submitted.
    • It must include clear address, dispatch number and date.

📜 Certificates & Eligibility

  • Domicile certificate (Not required for admission in College of Biotechnology).
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) issued by competent authority.
  • Sub-category certificate (PH/FF/AF) issued by competent authority.
  • Income certificate of guardian/parents issued by competent authority.
  • Certificate from employer (in case of University employee ward).

🌍 NRI / OCI / PIO Candidates

  • For NRI/OCI/PIO dependent candidates:
    • Original and photocopies of relevant certificates.
  • For NRI sponsored candidates:
    • Sponsorship letter (original and photocopy)
    • Sponsor’s passport (attested photocopy)
    • Proof of residence of sponsor (attested photocopy)

💵 Fee Refund Regulations (Admission Year 2026–27)

A. Processing Charges

  • For cancellation of admission: Rs. 1000.00 (Rupees One Thousand only) will be deducted.
  • If a candidate shifts from one allotted seat to another after admission: No processing charges will be deducted.

B. Refund of Fees

  • Seat vacated 15 days or more before the last date of admission: 100% refund
  • Seat vacated less than 15 days before the last date: 90% refund
  • Seat vacated less than 15 days after the last date: 80% refund
  • Seat vacated more than 15 days but less than 30 days after the last date: 50% refund
  • Seat vacated more than 30 days after the last date: No refund (0%)

Note: The last date of physical counselling / Mop-up round shall be treated as the last date of admission.
