π What is FMGE?
The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2026 is a screening test conducted for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who possess a primary medical qualification awarded by a medical institution outside India.
As per the provisions outlined in the Screening Test Regulations, 2002, any such candidate who intends to obtain provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India (now National Medical Commission) or any State Medical Council on or after 15 March 2002 is required to qualify this screening test.
The responsibility for conducting this examination has been entrusted to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

β Single Application Rule
- A candidate is permitted to submit only one application form for FMGE June 2026
- Submission of multiple applications by the same candidate is not permitted
Multiple Applications Scenario
- NBEMS may consider the application with the higher order Application Number (Application ID)
- All other applications shall be cancelled and fee paid shall be forfeited
- If irregularity is detected: action may be taken as per Unfair Means Guidelines, including debarment from future examinations
β Mandatory Accuracy Rule
All information provided in the online application form must be correct, complete, and factual. All details will be treated as final and correct.

Deficiency Responsibility
It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure the application is complete. Any deficiency detected at a later stage will not create any right or grant eligibility.

Payment Completion Rule
- Application is considered complete only after successful payment

β οΈ Non-Refund & Forfeiture Policy
Non-Refund Policy
The examination fee is strictly non-refundable. Fee once paid cannot be withdrawn, adjusted, or carried forward to future sessions.
Fee Shall Be Forfeited If
- Candidate is declared ineligible
- Candidate fails to complete application requirements
- Candidate remains absent in the examination
- Application is rejected due to incorrect information or incomplete documentation
Duplicate Payment Rule
NBEMS will retain the prescribed fee. Any excess amount may be refunded after closure of application window.

Primary Medical Qualification (PMQ)
- MBBS degree or equivalent medical qualification
- Must be a recognized medical qualification for enrolment as a medical practitioner in the country of awarding institution
- Recognition status must be confirmed by the concerned Indian Embassy
Completion Requirement
- Must have successfully completed all required courses
- Must be declared PASS / QUALIFIED in the final examination of all mandatory subjects
- Result of final examination must be declared on or before 30 April 2026

Eligibility Certificate Requirement
Candidate must have obtained an Eligibility Certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC) (or erstwhile Medical Council of India).
NEET Qualification Rule
Candidates who took admission in a foreign medical institution on or after May 2018 must have qualified NEET-UG.
- The NEET result shall be treated as the Eligibility Certificate
- NEET result is valid for a period of 3 years from the date of declaration
Attestation Requirement
- Foreign medical qualification must be Attested by the concerned Indian Embassy, OR Apostilled as per Hague Convention of 05 October 1961
- Certificates not attested, or attested after the prescribed last date, will not be considered for eligibility
β οΈ Final Eligibility Enforcement
Eligibility is subject to verification:
- Before examination
- After examination
- Even after result declaration
If found ineligible at any stage: candidature/result will be cancelled β even if the candidate has appeared, result declared, or pass certificate issued.
Failure to comply with eligibility requirements will lead to strict disqualification without any relaxation.

- NBEMS is permitted to use Aadhaar authentication for establishing candidate identity
- Once the Aadhaar number is submitted, it cannot be modified or updated at any stage β not even during the edit window
