GMERS Medical College, Navsari is an institute managed by Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society and is affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. GMERS Medical College, Navsari is associated with Mahatama Gandhi General Hospital, Navsari a multi specialty hospital is operational since 1964. The same is upgraded to Medical College. GMERS Medical College Navsari establish year 2022. The first batch of 100 MBBS students was admitted in GMERS Medical College, Navsari during academic year 2022-23. GMERS Medical College, Navsari is an academic institution of repute under The Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society of Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat and located in the city of Navsari, Capital of Gujarat State in Western India.
Total duration of MBBS course is 4 & 1½ year and Compulsory rotational Internship of 1 year. 1st MBBS is of 14 months duration during which students learn subjects like Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biochemistry and Community Medicine. 2nd MBBS is of 12 months duration with subjects like Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine. 3rd MBBS is of 28 months (including 2 months of electives) duration with subjects like Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Pulmonary Medicine, Psychiatry, Anaesthesiology, Skin & VD, ENT, Radiology and Dentistry. Adequate number of qualified faculty is available to teach these challenging subjects. These scientific subjects are taught by theory lecture, interactive practical, live demonstration etc. The institute is putting every sincere effort to bring out the best of my medical students, for which clinical integrated teaching is planned.
