The GMERS Medical College, Valsad is an academic institution of repute under the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society Formed by the Dept. of Health of Family Welfare Govt. of Gujarat. It is a self financed institution managed by the Government of Gujarat which was established in the year 2012. The college is Affiliated to the prestigious university of Gujarat, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC) with an annual intake of 200 MBBS seats.
GMERS Medical College Hospital Valsad , the associated teaching hospital, a multi specialty hospital is operational since 2nd, October 1987. The same is being upgraded to a 700 bedded hospital.
GMERS Medical College Valsad is a new college having admitted 4th batch of M.B.B.S students in 2015-16. In this short span of time we have progressed to a 750 bedded tertiary care hospital providing healthcare to thousands of patients from Valsad and neighboring districts.
