The Government Medical College, Doda is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical institutions in Jammu and Kashmir. The college offers a comprehensive 5.5-year MBBS program that includes 4.5 years of academic learning followed by a 1-year compulsory rotatory internship. The MBBS curriculum at GMC strictly follows the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) guidelines laid down by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

At Government Medical College, Doda MBBS seats are divided between the All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota through NEET UG counselling.

•    15% Seats are reserved for AIQ (through MCC counselling).

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for MBBS admission in 2025:

•    Age: Minimum 17 years old by 31st December 2025.

•    Academic Qualification: Must pass 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

o    General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate.

o    SC/ST/OBC: Minimum 40% aggregate.

o    PwD: Minimum 45% aggregate.

•    NEET Qualification: Must have qualified NEET-UG 2025.

•    Domicile Requirement: Jammu & Kashmir domicile certificate is mandatory for State Quota admissions.
