Haryana AYUSH Counselling 2026–27: BAMS & BHMS Admission
Haryana AYUSH Counselling 2026–27 will be conducted for admission to BAMS and BHMS courses in participating Government, Government-Aided, Private and Private/Deemed University institutions in Haryana and the participating institution in UT Chandigarh.
Haryana AYUSH Counselling 2026–27 Overview
Haryana AYUSH Counselling 2026–27 will facilitate admission to BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) and BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) courses for the 2026–27 academic session.
Shri Krishna AYUSH University (SKAU), Kurukshetra is authorized to conduct the centralized online counselling process based on NEET UG 2026 merit for participating AYUSH institutions in Haryana, including eligible institutions under private/deemed universities and the participating institution in UT Chandigarh.
Final admission will be subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility conditions and verification of original documents by the concerned college admission committee.

Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra has released the schedule for the 1st Round of UG AYUSH (BAMS/BHMS) Counselling for the 2026–27 academic session. Candidates should follow the dates below and regularly check the official SKAU website and counselling portal for any updates.
Important: Eligible NEET (UG)-2026 qualified candidates are required to register online through the counselling/admission portal available on the Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra website.

NEET UG 2026 Merit
BAMS & BHMS Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to Government, Government-Aided and eligible State Quota/Open Merit seats in private AYUSH colleges must fulfil the prescribed eligibility requirements.
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology.
- Candidates must fulfil the applicable NEET UG 2026 qualifying criteria.
- Candidates who do not obtain the minimum eligibility marks prescribed in NEET UG 2026 will not be eligible for BAMS/BHMS admission.
- The candidate must be 17 years old at admission or attain 17 years by 31 December 2026. This means the candidate must be born on or before 31 December 2009.
- Haryana Resident requirements apply for applicable State Quota admissions.
- For Management Quota, candidates from all over India are eligible irrespective of domicile or place of study.
NEET UG 2026 Requirement
Admission to BAMS and BHMS courses under Haryana AYUSH Counselling 2026–27 will be based on NEET UG 2026 merit.

Allotment is made according to the relevant State Merit List.

Admissions in private AYUSH institutions are based on All India NEET UG 2026 merit.
Haryana AYUSH Seat Quota
The counselling notification provides the following broad framework for distribution of AYUSH seats:

For State Quota seats, 5% of seats are earmarked for candidates with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) as per the applicable guidelines. The valid PwBD certificate must meet the prescribed requirements, and the Medical Board constituted by PGIMS, Rohtak is specified for counselling and admission purposes.
Haryana AYUSH Counselling 2026–27: Counselling Process
Candidates seeking admission to BAMS and BHMS courses have to register online through the Shri Krishna AYUSH University (SKAU), Kurukshetra admission portal. The counselling schedule and further instructions will be published by the university.
How to Participate in Haryana AYUSH Counselling?
01. Online Registration
Register through the SKAU admission portal.
02. Choice Filling
Select and arrange preferred courses and colleges.
03. Seat Allotment
Seats are allotted according to NEET UG 2026 merit and preferences.
04. Reporting
Report to the allotted college within the prescribed timeline.

Pay the applicable fees and complete admission formalities.
Choice Filling for BAMS & BHMS
Candidates should carefully arrange their college and course preferences before submitting choices. The submitted choices are used for seat allotment in the respective counselling round.
Candidates are advised to:
- Keep Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic colleges separately while preparing preferences.
- Separate Government, Government-Aided, Private and Private/Deemed University institutions.
- Check the tuition fee and location of each college.
- Note that only one private Homoeopathic college, J.R. Kissan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Rohtak, is participating.
- Maru Singh Memorial Institute of Ayurveda, Khanpur Kalan and Lal Bahadur Shastri Mahila Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Bilaspur are girls-only colleges.
- At least one college preference is mandatory; candidates do not have to fill every available college.
Seat Allotment and Document Verification
Candidates who receive a seat allotment must report personally to the allotted college with their original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies.
Important: Online allotment by itself does not provide a final legal right to the seat. Admission is confirmed only after successful document verification within the prescribed timeline.
- The college admission committee can cancel an allotment if the required documents are incomplete or invalid.
- Candidates must personally report to the allotted institution as per the notified schedule.
- Original documents must be produced during verification along with the required self-attested photocopies.
Haryana AYUSH Counselling 2026–27: Second & Third Round
If seats remain vacant after the first or second round, they may be filled through subsequent counselling rounds according to the schedule notified by Shri Krishna AYUSH University (SKAU).

Candidates must submit fresh college/course choices if they wish to participate in the next round.

Candidates seeking an upgrade should submit fresh preferences.
Security Fee for 2nd & 3rd Round

The security fee is adjusted against the first-year course fee if the candidate joins the allotted seat.
It may be forfeited if the candidate does not join, surrenders the seat, or the admission is cancelled due to issues attributable to the candidate.
If no seat is allotted, the security fee is refundable according to the prescribed process.
Haryana AYUSH Mop-Up Round
If seats remain vacant even after the third round, the remaining seats may be filled through a Mop-Up Round as per the directions of the Ministry of AYUSH, NCISM, State Government and SKAU.
Mop-Up Participation: Candidates already admitted through the applicable earlier counselling rounds may be restricted from participating in the Mop-Up Round under the conditions specified in the notification.
Fresh registration and fresh choice submission are allowed for eligible candidates as per the applicable counselling instructions.

For private AYUSH colleges affiliated with SKAU, the notified BAMS tuition fee is ₹2.40 lakh per year, with a 5% annual increase.
An additional 5% of tuition fee applies in institutes with NAAC/NABH accreditation as specified in the notification.
For BHMS, the notified tuition fee is ₹1.75 lakh per year, with a 5% annual increase, subject to the specified accreditation provision.
Hostel charges are capped at ₹60,000 or actual charges, whichever is lower, excluding fan and lighting charges.

Fee Payment Rule: Fees are payable annually, and institutions cannot insist on collecting the entire course fee in advance.

NRI Admission in Haryana AYUSH Colleges
NRI category admissions are based on NEET UG 2026 merit. The notification also permits eligible PIOs, OCIs and Foreign Nationals to apply under the NRI category, subject to the conditions and priority rules specified in the notification.
NRI / PIO / OCI Admission
- Eligible NRI, PIO and OCI candidates may apply under the applicable NRI category provisions.
- Admissions are subject to the prescribed priority and eligibility conditions.
- The notification provides a preference order for eligible NRI/PIO/OCI candidates and their children.
- The preference framework includes candidates originally belonging to Haryana / UT Chandigarh as well as candidates from other Indian states.
Vacant NRI Seats: Vacant NRI seats after the specified counselling stage may be offered to eligible foreign nationals and subsequently converted according to the prescribed rules.
Important Instructions for Candidates
Admission through counselling only: Admission is valid only through the prescribed counselling process.
Private college admission: Private BAMS/BHMS colleges cannot make independent admissions outside the notified counselling procedure.
Recognition & approval: Only institutes having the required recognition/approval and affiliation for the 2026–27 session will be considered for counselling.

Haryana AYUSH Counselling: Seat Conversion Rules
If reserved seats remain vacant because eligible candidates are not available, the Haryana AYUSH counselling notification provides a defined conversion sequence for different categories.

The notification also specifies that seat allocation begins with PwBD, followed by HOGC, after which seats are allotted according to the candidate's applicable category and preference.
What Happens to Vacant Private College Seats?
If State Quota seats in private colleges or universities remain vacant after the prescribed three counselling rounds, they may be converted into Management Category seats and filled according to the directions of the Haryana Government and Shri Krishna AYUSH University on the basis of All India NEET UG 2026 merit.
All India Quota Counselling for Haryana AYUSH Colleges
For All India Quota seats, the counselling authority depends on the type of AYUSH institution.
Government, Government-Aided, National Institutes, Central Universities and Deemed Universities: AIQ seats are handled by AACCC, Ministry of AYUSH.
Private ASU&H Institutions: AIQ seats in private ASU&H institutions other than deemed universities are handled by the respective State/UT counselling authority.
Haryana & UT Chandigarh: SKAU is the specified counselling authority for such private institutions.
AIQ Rounds: At least two rounds of AIQ counselling are to be conducted for private ASU&H institutions.
Domicile: No domicile certificate is required for AIQ UG seats in private ASU&H institutions.
Haryana Resident Certificate
For applicable State Quota admissions, candidates must meet the Haryana resident requirements prescribed by the Government of Haryana.
The notification provides several categories through which a candidate may qualify as a Haryana resident, including candidates who passed the qualifying examination from a school or college in Haryana and certain children, wards and dependents of Haryana Government employees, pensioners and other specified categories.
Document Requirement: Candidates claiming Haryana residence should produce the required certificate from the competent authority wherever applicable.
BAMS / BHMS Admission Bond
Candidates should also be aware of the bond provisions mentioned in the Haryana AYUSH counselling notification.
If a candidate joins a course/institute and subsequently leaves after the specified withdrawal period, the candidate may be required to pay the entire course tuition fee of the concerned college.

For the Institute for Ayurved Studies and Research, SKAU and Maru Singh Memorial Institute of Ayurveda, Khanpur Kalan, the notification specifically mentions a ₹5 lakh bond amount along with the tuition fee of the entire course.

Yes. Upgradation is permitted during the prescribed subsequent counselling rounds.
