About the College

Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Bhubaneswar, was set up in 2005 on the recommendation of the Dental Council of India, with BDS admissions starting from the 2006-07 academic session. It's the dental school of Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA), Deemed to be University, and is located on Sum Hospital Road, Shampur, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The college is recognised by the Dental Council of India and accredited NAAC A++ (3rd cycle). It has ranked consistently well in NIRF's dental category - 10th in 2022 and 14th in 2021 among 300+ dental colleges nationally - and its attached hospital has been ranked 1st in the Times Health Survey for four consecutive years.
