The JENPAS(UG) - 2026 (Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical and Allied Sciences β Undergraduate) is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission to various Undergraduate Nursing, Paramedical and Allied Health Science courses in the State of West Bengal for the Academic Session 2026β27.

The eligibility of candidates for different merit ranks and courses depends on the paper(s) they appear in during the JENPAS(UG)-2026 examination.
These candidates have the widest admission eligibility, as they can participate in counselling for both nursing/allied courses and BHA.
These candidates can apply for Nursing and Allied Health Science courses, but not for BHA.
These candidates are restricted to Bachelor of Hospital Administration (BHA) admission only.
These rules ensure a fair and systematic ranking process in case of identical scores.
The eligibility criteria for JENPAS(UG)-2026 are defined as per the latest guidelines issued by the concerned authorities. Candidates must ensure that they meet all conditions at the time of application, counselling, and admission, as verification is done during the admission process.

This age requirement is applicable for B.Sc. Nursing and all other Allied Health Science courses.
The academic requirements vary depending on the course applied for. Candidates must meet the subject-wise and aggregate criteria as specified.
The certificate must be submitted in the prescribed format as specified.
Reservation of seats for JENPAS(UG)-2026 is governed by the prevailing rules and regulations of the Government of West Bengal.
The reservation is applicable only to eligible candidates who meet the required criteria and possess valid certificates issued by the competent authorities.
Reservation is provided for the following categories:

β’ ST (Scheduled Tribe)
β’ OBC-A (More Backward)
β’ OBC-B (Backward)
β’ EWS (Economically Weaker Section)
β’ PwD (Persons with Disabilities)
The number of reserved seats in each category will be notified by the concerned authorities before counselling.
β’ Reservation benefits are applicable only to candidates who are Indian citizens and domiciled in West Bengal
β’ Candidates claiming reservation must produce valid category certificates issued by the competent authorities
β’ All certificates are verified during counselling and admission
If a candidate fails to produce valid documents or if the claim is found invalid:
β’ The category status may be cancelled or modified
β’ The candidate may be considered under the general category
β’ The candidate may become ineligible for certain seats/courses
β’ Candidates must have not less than 40% disability (benchmark disability)
β’ Eligibility for PwD reservation may vary course-wise and institute-wise
Candidates must carefully check whether their type and percentage of disability are eligible for the specific course applied.

All candidates claiming PwD status must report in person for physical verification.
Verification is conducted at designated Government Medical Colleges & Hospitals across different divisions of West Bengal.
The verification report issued by the concerned authority will be final and binding. Certificates issued by any other institution will not be accepted.
β’ No request for change in PwD category will be entertained after the correction period
β’ Final eligibility is determined only after physical verification
Domicile is a mandatory requirement for admission under JENPAS(UG)-2026.
The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal for admission in any course and any category.
A candidate will be considered a domicile of West Bengal if:
β’ The candidate has been residing in West Bengal continuously for at least 10 years as on 31.12.2025, OR
β’ The candidateβs parent(s) is/are permanent resident(s) of West Bengal with a permanent address in the state.
Candidates must produce valid domicile certificates in one of the following formats:
β’ Proforma A1 / A2 β For candidates residing in West Bengal
β’ Proforma B β For candidates whose parents are permanent residents
Alternatively, in certain cases, candidates may produce documents such as:
Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Ration Card (of parents).
Domicile certificates must be issued by competent government authorities, such as:
β’ District Magistrate / Sub-Divisional Officer / Block Development Officer
β’ Police authorities (as specified)
β’ Judicial Magistrates
β’ Government officials of appropriate rank
β’ Head of Institution (for Proforma A2)
Note: Certificates issued by elected representatives (MLA, MP, Councillors, etc.) are NOT accepted.
β’ Domicile certificate must be valid at the time of counselling and admission
β’ If the certificate is found invalid or expired, the candidate may lose eligibility for admission
β’ In case reserved category candidates fail to produce domicile certificate, their category certificate may be considered, but if rejected, domicile status will be treated as non-West Bengal.
The application for JENPAS(UG)-2026 is conducted online only. No printed application form is available. Candidates must complete all steps carefully within the stipulated time.
Candidates must enter personal details such as Name, Fatherβs name, Motherβs name, Date of birth, Gender, Address, Mobile number, Email ID.
After submission, an application number is generated. Candidates must create a password and security question.
Important: Certain details (name, parentsβ names, domicile, DOB) cannot be changed under any circumstances.
Candidates need to provide domicile status, category, PwD status, and academic details.
Candidates must select Paper-I only, OR Paper-II only, OR Both papers.
Candidates must also choose examination zones in order of preference.
Candidates must upload recent colour photograph (10β200 KB) and signature (4β30 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
All uploads must be done in one go. Corrections can be made within the given time if discrepancies are found.
Payment can be made through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI / QR Code.
After successful payment, candidates must download the Confirmation Page. Application is considered complete only after generation of the confirmation page.
For only Paper-I or only Paper-II:

Admit cards will be generated online on the notified date. Candidates must download and print the admit card.
It is mandatory to carry a printed hard copy to the examination centre. Admit card must not be mutilated, distorted, or soiled.
The result will be published in the form of a Rank Card.
Rank Card includes total score, component scores, and merit rank(s).
The Board does not publish any public rank list.
Model Answer Keys will be published for a limited period.
Candidates can challenge any answer by paying βΉ500 per question (plus bank charges).
Counselling will be conducted after declaration of results.
Admission is based on merit rank, availability of seats, and eligibility criteria.
Course-wise and institute-wise seat matrix will be published before counselling.
Appearing in the examination or securing a rank does not guarantee admission.
The examination for JENPAS(UG)-2026 will be conducted across multiple cities in West Bengal.
Candidates must select their preferred examination zones while filling out the application form.

If any discrepancy is reported, correction must be done within 1 day.
