Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling 2026 |
The Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling 2026 is conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB), as per Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-48 dated 6th August 2026, for admission into MBBS, BDS and BHMS programmes in medical, dental and homeopathy colleges across the state. Admission is based on NEET UG 2026 scores, so students who want to get into top colleges need to score well in NEET.
The State Counselling Authority (JCECEB) will conduct admission to 85% of seats allotted to the State Quota, and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will take care of 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Jharkhand has 10 medical colleges and 4 dental colleges that together account for approximately 1055 MBBS seats and 307 BDS seats for state counselling.
To get admission through state counselling, candidates must apply/register online, choose their colleges, and for both State and AIQ, the student will be called across up to 4 rounds (1st, 2nd, 3rd/Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy round). Seat allotment will be based on NEET UG rank, number of seats available in the medical, dental and homeopathy colleges, and their reservation category (General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS).
After every round during admission, the candidate needs to verify documents, and report to the college allotted within the time limit issued by the authority.
In compliance with the direction issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi on 19.08.2026 regarding extension of the schedule for 1st Round of UG State Counselling 2026, JCECEB has issued a further updated schedule (Advt. No. JCECEB/46/26-66) for the 1st Round of Online Counselling for State, All India & NRI Quota seats. Key updated dates:

So, plan your choices accordingly and keep in mind that there are mop-up and stray vacancy rounds too, but always keep your documents ready. For AIQ aspirants, there are many more options as Deemed and Central Universities offer, so make your selections accordingly. And with the schedule now updated twice in quick succession, keep checking the official website daily – the current Round 1 registration deadline is 25 August 2026, don’t let a missed update cost you your seat."
