Karnataka Management Quota
Engineering Admissions
Karnataka management quota engineering admissions involve directly contacting colleges to secure seats. These seats are available in Private Unaided Engineering Colleges (25% of the intake), Private Minority Engineering Colleges (30% of the intake) and Aided Engineering Colleges (5% of the intake).
Karnataka management quota engineering admissions for the academic year 2025β26 were governed by Government Notification No. ED 170 TEC 2025 dated 05-07-2025, which provides a structured framework for seat allocation across all engineering colleges in the state. Under this framework, management quota engineering seats are distributed among three distinct types of institutions. These institutions are listed under three distinct annexures:
π Annexure B β Aided Engineering Colleges
π’ Annexure C β Private Unaided Engineering Colleges
π Annexure D β Private Minority Engineering Colleges
Each annexure follows a clearly defined seat distribution pattern across categories. In Annexure B, seats are allocated with 95% under CAT-1 (Government quota) and only 5% under CAT-3 (Management/NRI quota). In Annexure C, the distribution is broader with 45% CAT-1 (Government quota), 30% CAT-2 (through COMEDK), and 25% CAT-3 (Management/NRI quota), resulting in the largest pool of management quota seats. Annexure D provides a balanced structure with 40% CAT-1 (Government quota), 30% CAT-2 (through COMEDK), and 30% CAT-3 (Management/NRI quota).
Each annexure also reflects differences in seat availability across branches such as CSE, AI & ML, and other courses, along with distinct fee structures ranging from lower bands to premium fee levels depending on the institution and course.
