About Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences
Karunya began in 1986 as an engineering college, became autonomous in 1999 and was declared a Deemed-to-be University in 2004 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Today it offers UG, PG and doctoral programmes across Engineering, Computer Science, Agriculture, Arts & Science, Media, Management and Health Sciences, with B.Tech as its flagship.
The university follows a Choice Based Credit System with outcome-based, experiential learning. B.Tech admission is a two-step process: KEE 2027 (online) and Single Window Counselling (SWC) 2027, which allocates programmes by merit and seat availability.

Karunya University B.Tech Eligibility
- Pass in Class 12 / +2 (or equivalent) from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and one more subject such as Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, Computer Science, IT or Engineering Graphics, as required by the programme.
- Minimum 60% in PCM/PCB (as applicable) is required for enrolment.
- KEE 2027 qualification is mandatory; there is no age limit.
- For Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering and Food Processing and Engineering, PCB may be considered where Mathematics was not studied โ confirm on the portal.
