Eligibility Criteria in Kathmandu Medical College

To be eligible for admission to the MBBS program at Kathmandu Medical College, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

•    Educational Qualification:

• The candidate must have completed their higher secondary education (10+2 or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the core subjects.
• Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent.

•    Entrance Exam: Candidates must clear the Medical Entrance Exam (conducted by Kathmandu University or as per the rules of the Medical Education Commission of Nepal).

•    Age Requirement: The candidate should be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission.

Admission Process

1.    Application Submission: Candidates must apply online through the official KMC website or the designated portal for the MBBS program.

2.    Entrance Exam: Candidates will have to appear for the entrance exam. The results of the entrance exam will determine eligibility for admission.

3.    Document Verification: After the exam, shortlisted candidates will be required to submit the necessary documents for verification.

4.    Counseling and Seat Allocation: Based on the entrance exam results and document verification, counseling will be conducted for seat allocation.

5.    Admission Confirmation: Candidates who are selected must complete the admission formalities, including fee payment and document submission.

1.    Passport-sized photographs (as per the required specification).

2.    10th and 12th Mark Sheets (for Indian students, or equivalent for international students).

3.    Pass the certificate of 10th and 12th Grade.

4.    Migration Certificate (if applicable).

5.    National Medical Council (NMC) Eligibility Certificate (for Indian students).

6.    Character Certificate from the last institution attended.

7.    Proof of Nationality (Passport or Citizenship Certificate).

8.    Medical Fitness Certificate (issued by a recognized medical institution).

9.    Entrance Exam Score Card.
